Books.

The best creation discovered by man to the world as we know it. They give information and transfer it easily by just handing one to another. What makes them even more amazing is the stories that they hold. They are words put together to form a whole new world. We create goblins and weird monsters to haunt those worlds, but of course, there are the heroes that are also monsters themselves.

I stuck my nose in the latest one I pulled from the shelf earlier when I had stopped by the library. The supernatural world fascinated me, from blood suckers to small fairies. Just the thought of an alternate world just outside of our vision gave me goose bumps. Any world that I can escape to would be perfect as long as it didn't include him.

My feet were kicked up on the desk and my chair leaned back, and I was sucked into the book to actually care when the door opened.

"Ms. Lowe this is detention, not your living room. Feet off the desk." Mr. Sen snorts out before planting his round thing that he calls a body at the desk in front. I peek up from the top of my book right as he set a box of donuts on his desk and opened his laptop. He gave my combat boots one last look before placing ear buds in and shoveling fat pastries into his mouth.

"That can't be healthy." I grumble taking a look at the clock then back at my book. I would be here for another hour and that idiot would be arriving at any minute. I almost wish I was home instead of here, almost.

Speak of the devil.

The door slams open and in walks the reason for me being here today. Yeah, it was my fist that hit his annoying face, but if he wasn't an ass then we wouldn't even have this problem. I roll my eyes, which was a natural reaction around him, and look back to my book. I hear the chair next to me squeal and the solid thud of his disgusting body land.

Ignore him Athena.

I grit my teeth and concentrate on the page. Only, I've been reading one sentence over and over again since he got here and started staring at me. Gently, closing my book I count to five like Kent taught me and took a deep breath before turning to calmly confront him. That was until I saw him going through my bag.

"What the-"

"You have nothing in here that a girl is supposed to have. Not even a brush, it explains so much." he pulls out my wallet which I promptly took from his fingers.

"Look you twit, give me back my shit and we can go back to ignoring each other." I snap lunging for my bag which he held out my reach.

"Whoa," My face heats up once, to my great horror, he tugs out extra panties I kept in there. Unfortunately, they were a pair Linda had bought for me and her taste was a bit vulgar.

With ninja like reflexes I like to think I have, I grab both bag and panties and stuff everything back in there. "Keep your disgusting fingers off my stuff."

"What am I suppose to do? You're the one that got us in this mess." he sighs leaning back.

I snort dropping my bag close by my once again, "Right cause I obviously wanted orange juice in my book."

"You shouldn't be an easy target."

I snap my jaw shut and start to pick my stuff up, I'm not going to sit by this ignorant man. Taking a seat by the window I got comfortable and open my book again. Without much effort, I was sucked back in the world.

"You know, you really should let your hair down."

Holy shit, I'll kill him!

I glance at him over my book trying to decapitate him with my eyes, but his blonde head was still intact and I was still in this room.
