"Thanks Vav"

"Hey Barb!" I chirp flinging open her door.

"You'll never guess wha-"

I scan my eyes off Barbra to see Gavin sitting back in a chair having a conversation with her.

"Gavin weren't you JUST in the office?" I question closing my eyes.

"Yes I was actually." He replies scratching his head.

"I just decided to come down and have a lil' chat with Barbra about something."

He raised an eyebrow as if accusing me of something.

I look back at Barb to see her mouthing 'he knows.'

I groan, slam her door and throw myself into a chair.

"Look Gavin, I really need to talk to Barb. Like girl talk. Please." I plead.

"Anything you can tell Barbra you can tell me, your secrets safe with me."

"BUT GAVIN YOU'RE A DUDE IT'S AWKWARD." I squeal.

He chuckles and nestles closer into his chair.

"Lets just say this is payback for the little 'problem' you gave me earlier." He adds faintly blushing.

Barbs neck shoots in my direction and I wave her off.

"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" I say defensively.

"Alright, I believe you." She laughs.

"Gavin, whatever I say stays in this room. If you tell a single soul I will NOT hesitate to murder you." I sneer through clenched teeth.

He sticks his arms up to protect himself.

"JESUS ZELDA. You can trust me."

I smile deviously and turn back to Barb.

My inner 13 year old kicks in and I began to gush everything.

"Ok so remember last night when Ray left and came back later on?"

She nods in interest.

"Well I had no one to drive me home so he took me back. On the way we were singing and stuff, and he told me I had a beautiful voice. Then we talked a little bit and we finally made it to my house. Then I noticed he looked troubled and I asked him what was wrong and well one thing led to another and we-"

"WHAT DID YOU DO.." Gavin screams.

"Gavin, let her finish." Barbra says pointing at him.

He instantly shuts up and lets me talk again.

"He kissed me and we were thinking of doing something else but he couldn't."

"But wait, Zelda your with Michael.. Isn't that sort of cheating?" Gavin questions.

I look down at my feet.

"Yeah, it is Gavin. Your 100% right."

I could feel tears welling in my eyes.

'Shit I'm gonna cry'

I take a deep breath and try to hold them in.

"Zelda hunny, it's ok. Just let it out." Barb says pulling me into a hug.

"B-but"

"But what?" She questions.

"I don't w-want Gavin.. T-to see me c-cry."

Gavin gets up and walks to me and bear hugs me.

"You know what, I don't want to see you cry either Zelda. But I'm not leaving this room because I want to help you be happy, your one of my good friends and ill always be there for you."

I get closer into Gavin and let out audible sobs.

He rubs my back to comfort me.

"T-thanks Vav." I stutter releasing myself from his hug.

"Anytime."

"So what are you doing today?" Barb asks quizzically.

I give her a guilty look and she raises a brow.

"I see, going to hang out with Ray?"

"AS FRIENDS ONLY." I groan.

"Girl, I'm just playing with you!" She says chuckling.

I wipe remaining tears from my eyes and laugh with her.

"Thanks for listening Barb.. I appreciate it. You too Gav!" I chirp.

"No problem!"

"Now if you don't mind, ill be leaving now." I say gesturing to the door.

"Places to go, People to meet."

"I'm coming too!" Gavin yelps.

"I might get lonely walking back to the office!" He rustles my hair and I giggle.

"Yeah, yeah whatever you say 'Mr. Superhero Vav'."

"Hey don't make fun of me." He states quickly.

"Superheroes can get lonely too you know."

I shake my head at him and wave bye to Barbra.

She waves back and looks back down at her computer continuing her work.

I quietly close her door and look up at Gavin.

"Race yah." I whisper before making a beeline for the office.

"BULLOCKS, WHAT'S WITH YOU AND RUNNING!" I hear him yell down the hall.

"LOOKS LIKE VAV NEEDS A WORKOUT."

He groans.

"Oh yeah big time."

SOOO. Just a short chapter guys. I haven't updated in like a week because of exams n stuff and I felt the need to.
