The stage had been set; the curtains swung ajar revealing the moons almost rehearsed ballet amongst the stars. Its elegant sway from east to west, measured in full by its luminosity, casting spools of dancing lights amongst the cobble stone footpath heading south through the abandoned Jersey streets. As if the rhythm of time had been lead astray, nothing that night appeared to operate under the laws of normalcy. Neither man nor women could express in finer detail, natures longing for romance, as if to say, its many children are far too few.

The only sounds audible from the south were songs of midnight mischief amongst nocturnal brethren. From the north, a gentle hum sweeping the hillside. To the east, an almost hushing touch of oceanic wildlife performing acts of the forgotten ways. To the west was silence that under the right conditions might influence the heart to stop beating. Still and uneventful the western sky hung thick, almost concealed by its silence, forcing ears to seek reassurance of their value elsewhere.
