I laughed at the comments. Ummm I realized that I put 'ice cones' instead of 'snow cones' in the story haha. Oh well! Just...look at it that way. Ice cones mean the same thing, right? Okay.

Blake's hot and amazing laughter came out of nowhere, and I angled my head to the side to see him practically laughing so hard while walking up to Elaine, who was still on the ground in shock. Blake looked down at him, "Come on, man! You were supposed to catch that, not your face!"

Elaine chuckled for a second as if he were confused, then he got up slowly and dusted himself off. "Um...right. I guess my reflexes aren't that quick." He smiled at me and I just stared at the both of them with a puzzled face expression.

"Not quick enough for me." Blake glanced at me and gave me some kind of look, and then he turned back to Elaine. "Want to play volleyball, dude?"

"Uh..." Elaine trailed off and turned to me slowly. He raised an eyebrow.

I stared at him. My face gave away nothing. Then, I had this sudden urge to piss Blake off. He wanted to take Allison away from me just to upset me? Then fine. I can piss you off just the same way, but I think I'll push you a little further. Finally basking back into reality, I nodded and placed my hands on Elaine's shoulders. I stood on my tippy toes and kissed him on the cheek. Elaine blushed a lot, and I pretended to act all shy. Blake stared at me, and his face was so memorable. His eyes dilated and then he blinked them away, turning back to Elaine.

"So uh...what do you say?" Blake cleared his throat. Although he was asking Elaine this question, he was still looking over at me. He had a look as if saying, What in the hell are you doing?

I shrugged and sent him a look back. Just thanking you for letting me go easily.

His jaw tightened for a second and then he cleared his throat again.

"Sure," Elaine turned away and grabbed the volleyball from the ground, and then he turned to me. "Want to play, Denny?"

I shook my head, shy for real this time, "I suck at it-"

"So? Come on, it will be fun." Elaine nodded his head at the waters and walked away with Blake. I sighed and followed.

I threw the ball up hesitantly, punching it with my fist. It came Allison's way and she gave it a good hit and it came back toward me. "Um...?" I held my hand out, and Elaine quickly jumped in front of me and hit it for me. I smiled at him.

He winked and smiled, "I'll help you out. That's what teammates do, alright?"

"Yes." I nodded.

Blake was busy watching us two to even notice that the ball was coming his way. It punched him hard in the abs, and he winced for a second in pain. Allison, who was Blake's teammate, tried to hold in a laugh, but then she just sighed and said with a crooked grin, "You good enough to keep playing?"

"Yeah. Just...perfect." He served the ball hard from the moment he said 'perfect'. It was coming so fast at me that even Elaine couldn't hit it for me in time. I stood there with a bewildered look on my face, as if the ball fascinated me while it made its way to my face like a comet in the sky. I didn't notice the pain I'd endure until it actually occurred. I fell into the low-leveled waters, screaming in pain. Elaine watched me with wide eyes and Allison was on the other side of the 'play net' with a disturbed expression on her face. Blake ran from under the net and came over to me. "I'm so sorry, Denny! I didn't-"
