❖ Vs the world ❖

I shut my eyes to forget the world
But the world found it's way through my ears.

I used to say distant wouldn't matter
But I ended up with tears tainting my cheeks.

The world kept asking me about my feels. Salting the wound with their rantings.

I coverd my scars and plugged my ears
But the world didn't get enough and followed me.

They poked me with their pointed fingers
And blamed the warming on me.

So I shut down my sense
And uncapped my fears.

I used my pen as a sword versus the world.
But the world wasn't illiterate and backfired with words.

They draped the ground with solid pain and hurt.
So I jumped to the water abandoning earth.

I found the solitude and the comfort I craved.
Deep in my ocean of unspoken words.

Then I saw a glimpse of something dark afar.
It was the world coming to tear me apart.

I ran with my bloody feet
Till I reached the egde of the world...

But the world nonetheless followed me

So I threw my hands in the air and said . . .

'hey world! Make it quick i got somewhere else to be'

Merry Christmas everyone.
