Skirt Alert

When his hand slipped beneath my skirt
my senses became alert –
"Not exactly a crime,
but perhaps, mistimed?"
His look and his manner seemed hurt.
'But my love, we've been wed a week?'
"Yes, but I think you have some cheek.
Though you made my heart sing,
took your time with the ring –
now it's your turn, my love, to be meek."
