he wakes up and he sees elaine's face.
'worried' was the word plastered on her
forehead. she touched his cheek and he
groaned. it was numb yet it ached him.
"are you alright?" elaine asked. she could
only hear the ticking silence of the clock.
"i'm far than okay. what happened?" he asked
her and she laughed slightly. she brushed the
hair that was covering her face and put it behind
her ear.
"reed rost punched you in the face, then
your girlfriend naomi got you. naomi was
kissing your face and..." she trailed off.
"what happened?" he asked.
"nothing." she covered her wrist using her
grey wool sweater and look downwards and felt
embarrassed.
"we're no longer together, elaine. i broke up
with her because she cheated on me, with caleb
johnson." he said bluntly.
