Sun rays woke Elizabeth up on Monday morning. She didn't sleep well. Her thoughts were everywhere but sleeping. She got up harder than usual and started getting ready for the another day of her, now scary and confusing, life. She was always paying attention on her clothes so today she wanted to look preatier to hide her dissapointment and fear. She put on green sleveless dress with short skirt, nylons because it was kinda chilly outside, her brand new brown ankle boots and her brown leather jacket. To make this outfit even more distinctly, she put on a wide necklace made of white stones. Everything was looking great, she just needed to put on a smile and she was ready to go.

On the other side of the city, Jonathan was pretty relaxed. He got up, had breakfast, put on his grey shirt, that fitted him perfectly as the rest of the clothes, and jeans and put just a bit of hair gel. He looked great with just a few minutes of getting ready to go out. He was in a good mood until his bus came to his stop. Jonathan remembered that he would have to have the talk with Elizabeth. He was preparing what to say and he made a perfect speech.

Johnny came first to their class and waited, nervous as hell, to see Elizabeth. People started coming in the hall and only then he realised that they wouldn't have the chance to talk. After about ten minutes, Elizabeth came in and all eyes were on her. Some of them because they thought she was too fat for that dress and some of them because she had all the parts put perfectly together. Nobody thought that she was pretty, she was too fat for modern standards. Ellie saw Jonathan from the door. Their eyes met. That were the longest few seconds in her life. She looked down pretty quickly and slided to her seat. There wasn't any seat left so she had to sit behind him. Sitting the whole day so close to Johnny was not her plan. She already set her mind on that topic.

Forty five minutes later they were released on a short break. Jonathan went out for a smoke. Usually, Ellie went to. Not because of him but just on the fresh air. Today she hasn't left her seat. He was confused. Not many people went out on these breaks so they had the chance to talk without all the confused and kinda angry faces around them. He was very patient the whole day and than he finally snaped at lunch break. The whole group was waiting in a line and somehow they ended up one behind another. Elizabeth was behind him. She immediately turned her back to him and started talking to her friends. He did the same as a matter of habit. They knew they weren't suppose to be seen together. He was thinking about it for a long time and then, when they were next to each other, he started the conversation. Elizabeth tried to shush him up but this wasn't a regular day and Jonathan was not giving up. He started talking and she shouted: "I hate you. Do not talk to me!" He couldn't believe his ears. He wanted explanations, but all Johnny got was disregarding. Again, he asumed that she's shy so he didn't push it. He'll try some other time. When they will be alone.

Days were passing by but they never got the chance to be alone. She wasn't leting it. She would came to college 5 minutes before it starts, left it immediately as it finished and she hasn't gone to any break. She was openly ignoring him. He realized that two days after their short talk happened.

Two weeks later he was still dissapointed but more and more cool with the situation. She was ignoring him, sometimes even insulting him. Ellie thought everything would be better if they end their friendship. It was easier for her to make him hate her. That way she wouldn't have to explain her message and he won't be hurt as much, just angry.

Few more days have passed and now they haven't been talking to each other for a whole month. October came and the temperature was falling on the scale. It was colder outside but also in Ellie's heart. She pushed away something that could be great. When they started, she was thinking about how they could be great friends, how in a few months they would have some stories to tell, some inside jokes to laugh at. And all of that was gone now.
