Prom?

I'm just average girl nothing special. Nobody likes me in the dating way but you kinda get used to it but just cause they don't like me doesn't mean i don't like no one. I have a huge crush on this guy named Shawn Mendes and he's popular. Prom is coming up I want him to ask me but he doesn't know I exist. Me and him have been in the same classes since grade 6 we were best friends but we kinda drifted apart.

Shawn's POV..
Prom is coming up soon and I know who I want to ask but i know she might say no but I'm going to ask her anyways but I have to talk to her first. I wanna ask her in the most romantic way and I already have the perfect idea.

I decide to get her favourite type of flowers lavenders, I still find it weird that she likes lavender I don't know it smells quite funny but still I get it. 

Along with lavenders get white roses, yellow lilies and some daises. I know she will love this, she deserves the world and I'm gonna give it her.

I know she's studying for her huge AP Chemistry so I decide to go into the library to try to lure her where I want her. I know crazy who goes to the library these days, she does and I love it.

My surprise consists of backup dancer and singers, well they will sing be singing a sing my AJR called ' Infinity' I know shell love it because she always sings it in choir. Once they reach at their stopping point I will pop out from the back and ask her out with of course her flowers in my hand, but there will also be some on the floor so she can get a couple hints.

I see her there with her vans sweater and sweatpants , god she sure does love her sweaters. 

"Miranda!!" I whisper shout while I walk fast towards her giving her a huge smile

"uhhh- Shawn. What are you doing here? " Miranda asks awkwardly

"Just wanted to talk to you." I grin at her

"Shawn we haven't talked since last year, since you became popular." Miranda says while writing quickly 

" I know and that's why I want to catch up." I say 

"I understand but I'm kind of busy" Miranda says lastly while pushing in her chair quickly and walking out in a hurry 

I grab her wrist and turn her around causing for us to be super close, and making our eyes not lose eye contact. 

"Look Shawn.... I loved being friends but we are different now" Miranda continues to say

"Miranda, lets just talk outside. I have a surprise for you" I smile with a smirk on my face

"Shawn I have AP exams coming up, I don't have time for your jokes" Miranda looks at me in a funny manner

"I know but I promise this will be quick!" "please trust me" I say while grabbing her by the forearm gently

" Okay, fine" " But this better be fast" She says as she nudges me softly on my upper arm 

I pull her outside the library and get close to her as we both see downstairs from the top floor

Miranda's POV

I walk out of the library with Shawn grabbing me by my upper arm. Jesus his touch is so soft and gentle, it's just what I imagined. 

I was doing this practice test for my AP chemistry because you know I'm trying to get ahead in college especially for next year. 

I dont know what this might  be but I hope it's like a way of us just being alone and talking
