“I’ve done a fair share of stupid things in my life, a couple of which should have put me in the grave.  But here I am, typing away as if I had a brain.”        ~Craig Wilson

CHAPTER THREE – LET THE GAMES BEGIN

“You are seriously not going to tell me who that was?” Liz asked concerned, rushing in her steps to catch up to Angel.

“Unlike you, I don’t kiss and tell.” Angel stated teasingly, carefully making her way pass other horses and riders as her eyes instantly sought out and fell on Snow.

Snow, as her name itself implied was all white, from the very hairs in the top of her head to the hairs at the end of her tail.  Well, she was white most of the time; Angel conceded smiling as she saw her brother Daniel struggle with Snow, trying to pass a wet cloth over her now brown face.  No one, not even Angel herself could deny Snow had a knack for getting into trouble, for getting dirty.  But like all Arabian horses, all her bad doings she paid with love and loyalty.

Whistling loud enough for all to hear, Angel couldn’t help but widen her smile as she watched Snow’s head instinctively turn around and search for her, springing to life the moment she spotted her and heading towards her.  Not caring for either Daniel or Jacob who sternly called out for her to return, while she huffed and puffed going directly to Angel.

No matter how many times she had seen her, how many times she had ridden her, every single time her eyes fell on Snow, Angel couldn’t help but fall in love with her all over again.  Snow had it all: she was young, she was strong and most important of all, she was hers.

“I can’t believe you won’t even tell me his name.” Liz complained, moving to the side as Snow approached them.  “Me.  Your own sister.  Your own flesh and blood.”

Grabbing on to Snow’s lead rope, Angel pulled her even closer to her, bringing forehead to forehead close together as she lovingly began caressed the side of Snow’s head.

“Nosy isn’t she?” Angel wickedly confided in Snow, loud enough for Liz to hear.  Laughing as Snow began to move her head up and down in an affirmative gesture.

“Fine.  I give up.” Liz stated honestly, defeated, raising both her hands in the air as I sign of frustration before turning on her heels and heading to where Daniel and Jacob stood watching them.

“It’s just you and me now, Snow.” Angel stated honestly, passing her hand over her horses forehead.  “Just the way we like it, right girl?”

Laughing as Snow’s muzzle and nostrils made contact with her delicate skin, tickling her, Angel pulled away to lead Snow towards the arena.

“Can you keep a secret girl?” Angel asked, looking over her shoulder to see if Liz still stood beside their brothers.  And again, to answer her question, Snow began to move her head up and down.  “I kissed a man.  A man I have never seen in my life.” Angel confessed in a whisper, using a small stool on the ground to get into Snow’s back.  “And it was the best kiss ever.” She added a bit nostalgically, leaning over her horse to whisper at her ear.  “I kissed a stranger.  Can you believe it?” Angel asked in awe, still unable to believe she had actually done it, her left hand sneaking its way against her lips.  Touching the place that had burned long since she and the stranger had pulled about.

Angel, the responsible one had done the unthinkable.  She’d kissed a complete and total stranger.  That was the only reason why she couldn’t tell Liz the man’s name, she hadn’t a clue as to what it was, she hadn’t asked.  And the worse thing of it all was that she wanted to do it again.  Soon.
