Chapter 7 - The run

After a while roach had an idea. MacTavish said “go on and tell us roach” roach told 

everyone “if possible try and get hold of jenny, my wife, she flies Chinooks so she 

could help us out” MacTavish told ghost to do that. Ghost got as high as he could and 

tried 7 times, not one worked. He found MacTavish and told him the news “I can’t 

get anyone on the horn” MacTavish looked disappointed. While ghost went to try again 

MacTavish setup his laptop. Ghost came back with the same news. Roach was told to 

torture Rojas by MacTavish. 3 minutes later, MacTavish, ghost and roach watched 

news clip on the laptop and then had a chat. MacTavish was shocked while saying 

“the Russians must have copied the ACS module, it’s got the key to every lock in 

America” ghost and roach thought, oh shit. Ghost added “and there killing thousand 

Americans for every dead civilian in Moscow, looks like we are all out of 

friends” roach agreed but MacTavish didn’t, he knew a guy but thought, did he have a 

chopper? He told his two team mates “I know a guy, let’s find a payphone” he paused to 

think then continued a little quieter “if they still exist?” there was a small pause 

before ghost said “all we got out of Rojas is that the only guy Makarov hates worse 

than Americans, is locked up in the gulag” MacTavish looked puzzled thinking, he has 

more info surely. MacTavish then told ghost “it's all we got. If this cons the bait to 

catch that psychopath lets hang him from a tree.” After half an hour later, 

reinforcements arrived, and not a moment too soon because there was gunfire 400 

meters away. MacTavish disappeared for a few moments while ghost gave out orders to 

hold their ground and to keep an eye out for MacTavish. Rocket, one of the 141 

reinforcements was carrying ammunition for ghost, MacTavish and roach. Thunder was 

also carrying ammo, but didn’t know that the people he was carrying it for were KIA. 

After sharing the ammo round, a gunfight broke out. Ghost found out that it was 

MacTavish verses 50 militiaman. The 50 men who fought against him, lost. Ghost looked 

at MacTavish and thought that’s how we all should fight. Seconds later, roach & ghost 

see another large group of militia heading towards them. Ghost tells MacTavish “sir, 

the militias closing in, almost 200 of them, front and back.” MacTavish thought 

this is going to be a close one. He then replied to ghost “we’re going to have to 

fight our way to the LZ. Let’s go!” ghost was about to start running but stopped and 

looked round to Rojas. Ghost asked MacTavish “what about Rojas?” he didn’t 

care anymore about Rojas, after all he got what he needed from him. MacTavish replied 

to ghosts question with “the streets will take care of him”. Ghost thought, ok, and 

said out loud “works for me”. MacTavish looks around for a Pave low, but doesn’t 

see one. He calls on the radio “Nikolai! Were at the top level of the Favela 

surrounded by militia! Bring the chopper to the market, do you copy, over” Nikolai 

replied “Ok my friend, I am on the way!” roach thought Nikolai would never show up 

and they would wait forever. Ghost thought why should we trust him but then a thought 

shot through his mind he is a friend of MacTavish's and my dad. MacTavish knew 

where to be and how long he has left so he shouted to everyone “Everyone get ready! 

Lock and load!” ghost added for moral support “let’s do this!” after the chatter 

the team runs up the hill leaving Rojas behind. After running for about 5 minutes 

the team stops suddenly, rocket steps out to find out what the sound was. After about 

5 more minutes rocket find nothing and the team carry on walking towards the market 

when suddenly the team was ambushed. The 141 engaged the militia but 2 men were 

downed within a few seconds of it starting. Ghost instinctively shouts “tangos at 

ground level dead ahead!!” the fire fight was long and painful but after a while of 

fighting the 141 had moved from where they found Rojas to round the corner from the 

market where they face more militia.
