Whisper in the night

I stood on top of the roof looking out over the city. It was a quiet night. Too quiet. The wind blew slightly. The breeze made my hair move. It felt nice and cool. It was the perfect night. I looked over the edge down at the ground. It was about a 50 foot fall. Hopefully it's a far enough drop to kill me. Now I'm standing on the edge one foot is over my arms are up. I'm balancing on one foot. I think to myself "Nobody loves me. Nobody cares. If they cared they wouldn't of sent me away. They wouldn't of put me here." Another second of thinking. "I need to hurry before they notice I'm not in bed. I'm not crazy. I'll be doing everyone a favor." I hear the door behind me open. A nurse peeks her head out and spots me. She rushes over and starts pleading for me to get down, come inside, and go back to bed. I said to her "I'm not crazy. I'll be doing everyone a favor." With that I stepped off the edge. She tried to catch me, but failed. A second later I was just another whisper in the night.
