          The Walk

Peace where are you?

Troubles I find with no end in sight.

Fleeing from harmony, fleeing from what should be, so peace can’t be.

I walk to find peace and find conflict, and confusion.

I miss your taste, and your smooth embrace, even when enemies stood to watch your grace.

I walk to find peace and stumble on hate, dislikes, and those who won’t show their faces.

Peace where are you?

I’ve watched the news and not one sight of you.

I heard one say, what good will come if peace was won, and speak of how peace can come from a fight.

I walk to find children hidden in houses with eye’s staring out, because no one will show them peace.

Peace where are you?

Can I see you once more to dance and play?

Can you come and sing your song of joy, and set awhile.

Play with the children for long time.

Let them feel the power of your presents.

And as I walk, I have one thing to ask, when I find you.

Will you please be still and share our meal on This Christmas day?

My prayer for Christmas Day. Will you walk with me in search for peace?

Merry Christmas everyone!!!
