Amelia’s POV
When I woke up I heard a noise from the other part of the chamber. That didn’t sound like Merlin, Gaius or Tabitha. Who is that? I sat up just in time as Amelia peaked into the room.
“Oh she is up, come through,” smiled Tabitha. In walked a knight of Camelot.
“I’m Gwaine, it’s nice to meet you,” he bowed.
“You too, what is it you wanted?” I asked.
“I wanted to meet you two lovely ladies,” he grinned. I saw him look at Tabitha. I couldn’t help but grin.
“Oh right I see. Well I would love to chat but I’m so tired but Tabitha has all the time in the world,” I said as I lied back down and closed my eyes. I heard them leave the room and I grinned. Tabitha owes me.
Merlin’s POV
I’m in the stables mucking out the horses. It’s what I get for being late. This is what I get for looking out for others. He hardly cared that I had been looking after Tabitha. Well he kind of did but he didn’t believe me about that being the reason I was late. He thinks I went to the Tavin.
I hate Gaius for telling Arthur that one time about the Tavin and Arthur just presumes I go there all the time now when I don’t go there at all. I’m normally saving his ass or doing chores for Gaius or looking out for people, this time it being Amelia and Tabitha.
Arthur would never understand. I doubt he ever will. My secret what makes me who I am will stop Arthur understanding and it’s unlikely I will ever be able to tell him now. I hate it. While Uther is still alive I can’t even think about it either. If Arthur ever finds out I’ll be sentenced to death.
I couldn’t help but think about Amelia and Tabitha as I continued to clean the horse’s stables. There is something different about them to other girls but I just can’t put my finger on it but I will soon, I hope.
Amelia’s POV
Tabitha is sitting on the bed next to me. “Gwaine is so funny and really likable guy,” smiled Tabitha.
“Just like it says in the legend but also he does get drunk a lot,” I laughed and so Tabitha.
“He is a knight in shining armour though and he is so brave,” she said softly.
“Whatever makes you happy,” I grinned.
“So about the ring,” said Tabitha looking at me.
“I really have no clue,” I told her.
“Neither do I, I don’t even know if we will be able to go back to our time. Why did we come here of all places not that I am complaining,” said Tabitha.
“As much as I am interested to find out what happened I have no life back home in our time. I’ve always felt the legend of Arthur and Merlin are a part of me and now I am here in it. Experiencing it and I don’t want to leave,” I said.
“What about your job,” she asked me.
“It a job I’ll give up for this. I only took that job so I could read more about the legends of Merlin and Arthur. I know you probably want to go home and I will try to figure this out so you can somehow but I am not going back with you,” I said sadly.
