Chapter 4:2 Surprised Guests!

Beep!Beep!Beep!Beep!

"Ooh, I have school today" I think.

I tried to lay in bed for a little while longer, but mum little brother, Angus came in saying"It's time for school, it's time for school". He's only 2, and he is the cutest baby ever. I decided to get up and get dressed. I chose some fluro green shorts and a tight black shirt that says "I understand I just don't care". It's my favourite shirt.

I go down to have breakfast but my parents say there's no time and that I have to go right now. I walk outside and everyone's waiting in a group for me. "What's with the wait" I said. "We thought if we went in a group there's less chance of us being attacked" said my best friend Montanna. "You know, by the Demons". She said this last word with a shudder. She clearly didn't like them.

They walked together until the came to Rhinaya's little sister and other little brothers school, Rosie, who was 6 and Daniel who was 10. The dropped them off, then they dropped Angus and Lilian, Montannas little sister off at daycare. Then they walked to there school. They got there just as the bell went for class. They checked their schedules and both went to history, because that's what there class list said.

As they walked back from school, they saw something moving in the bushes so Lilian insisted that Montanna and Rhinaya change into their wolf form and carry the little ones on their backs. I didn't want to, but in the end the scared look on Angus's and Lilian's faces got the better of me. Montanna and I went into the bushes to change. We put our clothes in our bags and walked back out in our wolf forms. Angus and Rosie got on my back and Lilian and Daniel got on Montannas.

I dropped them off at the bottom of the stairs and went up to my room to change. Once I got changed, I heard my mother calling me from the bottom of the stairs. I went down and sat across the table from her. "What's wrong" I said, looking at the worried look on my mothers face. "Is it true ,sweetie. Is you mate really a Demon" she said looking at me.

"How did she know" I thought."Yes" I said. "It's okay mum, he's reasonably nice for a Demon". "You've met him already" she said. "Yeah, I met him in the woods yesterday" I said. "Were you going to tell us this" said her father. "I was going to but you guys looked so worried yesterday, I decided to wait until you were in a better mood" I said. Awkward!! "I'm gonna go up to my room now" I said. My mother just nodded.

I read a book in my bed for a while until it was 9:30 and that's when Marcus showed up. Again. He jumped in bed next to me. I couldn't really read with him snuggled up next to me so I put the book down and went to sleep. About halfway through the night I heard a crash in the room next door.

Angus's room!! I think. I jump out of bed to find him lying on the floor in a pile of broken glass. He must have woke up and wanted a drink of water and accidentally dropped the cup.. I pick him up and cradle him in my arms and walk into my room because it's got a bathroom so I can clean him up.

Once all his cuts are cleaned up then I sat on my bed with him on my lap and gave him a hug. "Are you okay" I asked him. "I'm okay now" he said. He noticed Marcus in my bed and said " Boys aren't meant to be in girls rooms". He looked so proud that he knew that I couldn't help but smile. "But I'm a special exception" said Marcus with a smile. "What does excep, excepton mean?" asked Angus.

I smiled and said "exception means that your allowed to break the rules for a special reason" I said. "Ooh, does Chloe have an excep, excepton?" He asked. "No, now why would you think that?" I asked. "Because she's always taking boys up to her room" he said." I tell her not to but she doesn't listen to me" said Angus. "Is Chloe like the pack slut or some thing" asked Marcus. I gasped and glared at him. His eyes widened as he realised what he just said.

"What's a slut?"asked Angus looking at Marcus. I look at Marcus waiting for him to explain. "Ooh, well, umm," he said. "It's a monster that eats big boys brains up". I try not to laugh and say" Yeah that's what she's doing with all the boys in her room". "Ooh" said Angus. He actually believes it. "You better go back to bed" I said. "Okay, but what's your name" he asked Marcus. "It's Marcus" he said smiling. "Okay" he said and went back to bed.

" I would kill you right now, but all I can do is laugh" I said giggling. "Me too" he said. We both started laughing our heads off. "I can't wait to see Angus say that to Kaycee" I say.

The next morning, Marcus and I sleep in because it's Saturday. Big mistake. All of a sudden Montanna barges in and starts ranting on about something until she notices Marcus in my bed. Her jaw drops to the floor. And then she realises he's a Demon.

She is about to scream when I cover her mouth. "Ssshhh, it's okay" I say rubbing her back with my other hand. "Listen Montanna, you can't tell anyone but this is my mate Marcus" I say soothingly. I take my hand from her mouth and she stutters.

"Bbbbuutt thaaattts iiimposssible" she manages to get out. Montanna is one of those girls where there has to be a logical explanation for everything. "Nooo it was meant to be impossible but it happened anyway" I correct her. "Please don't tell anyone" I say. "Otherwise they'll kill him" I pleaded her. "I won't tell anyone" she said. "I'm going to the library" she said. "Okay" I said. She was no doubt looking for an explanation. "You should go" I said to Marcus. "Yeah, before someone else come in" he said.

I lay alone in bed for a little while longer, then I decide to get dressed. I walk down to the library to see Montanna. On the way I can hear an argument going on in Chloe's room. "Don't let her take you, she's a slut" I heard Angus yell. "What, what did you call me" shouted Chloe. "That's what Marcus called you" said Angus. I keep walking not wanting to get involved.

I found Montanna in the library, in the mating section. There were half a dozen books on the table she was sitting at.I sat down next to her."I don't get why your so interested" I said, making her jump. She looked up and realised it was me. She went back to her book. "That wasn't an answer" I say. She looks up at me and says " Because everything is so boring around here, nothing strange ever happens" she replied.
