Just like Old times

I pulled onto a street that I was guessing he lived on, i was surprised that it wasn't where he use to live but that he also lived there 5 years ago. I went down about 8 houses and finally found his. I pulled up next to the curb and put the car in park, I couldn't believe I was about to stay at Josh's house.. my ex. I looked in the back and saw that John was asleep in his car seat so I decided I needed to get out so he can sleep in a better bed. I turned off the engine to the car completely off and got out, I went and got John out of the car and grabbed our bag. "Here goes nothing" I whispered to myself and started walking up the driveway to his house. I noticed that his house looked completely different from what his old house looked like, it was blue and was smaller I guess since only one person lived there. I reached the door and ringed the doorbell, I would have knocked but my hands were full. I heard the door unlock and my heart dropped, I don't know why I was so nervous but I just was. I saw Josh in joggers and a tight shirt.. ugh my weakness and he knew it. His shirt was so tight you could see his perfect abs I just wanted to touch them. "Thank you for letting me stay here." I said walking in once he let me in "No problem. Why aren't you with your fiancé?" He asked "Oh umm I didn't have my key" I said I thought to myself what a stupid lie. "Really because you told me that you and Ben your fiancé got in a fight.." he said giving me a disappointed face. Oh no I forgot! "You don't have to lie to me Rowan" he said "I know I am sorry.. I don't know I just don't like to tell people about Ben and I whenever we fight.. I want people to think we are a happy family." I said looking at my feet. I felt Josh hand under my chin and felt him lift my head up "Hey it is okay nobody is perfect" he said my heart dropped when he touched my chin "I just want to have a happy family" I said "Anyway can you hold John for a minute I need to grab his pack n play that is in my car" I said "Sure" I gave him the half asleep John and made sure he didn't wake up and went outside.

I walked to my car and opened the trunk and went to grab the pack n play but was stopped by the buzzing of my phone. I looked at who was calling and saw Ben's name, I declined the call I really didn't wanna talk to him. I put my phone back in my pocket and grabbed the pack n play and closed the trunk to my Honda Civic and made my way up to Josh house again. I got back into the house "Where can I set this up?" I asked "Here follow me" Josh told me I followed him to a room which might I say was very pretty the walls were painted white and the bed had a white sheets and painting on the wall with plants on a dresser. "You and John can stay in here" he said quietly trying to make sure he didn't wake up John "Okay" I said smiling. I put the pack n play together and got out the blanket from the bag I packed for us and put it in the crib, I grabbed John from Josh and put him in the crib and kissed his forehead.

Josh and I left the room quietly making sure not to make noise "Your so good with John, he really likes you" I said as we walked back to the living room "I like John too, he seems like a good kid" Josh said smiling "He really is" I said smiling back "Do you want anything to drink?" Josh asked "Do you have any wine?" I asked "Let me check" Josh said and made his way to the kitchen. "I am going to change" I said walking to the nearest bathroom. I knew where it was because we passed by it on the way to put John to bed. I went in and put on the clothes I grabbed when I grabbed johns blanket and put them on which was black shirt spandex and a big red sweatshirt, I put in my black knee high socks and walked out and went to the room we were staying it and threw my clothes in the room making sure to be quiet.

I made my way back to the living room to see Josh placing 2 glasses of wine on the coffee table. Josh turned and noticed me and stared at my outfit "You know it is rude to stare" I said laughing "You look nice" he said smiling as he handed me a glass of wine "Thanks" we both took a seat on his black couch. I curled up into a ball type position and took a sip of my wine. "So how have you been these past 5 years? We haven't talked forever" I asked "I have been good I mean you know I haven't been in a relationship and stuff but I have gotten a new job." He said "Really what is it?" I asked "Well I am a Real estate agent I sell houses" he said "Wow that's amazing, why did you stop teacher though from what I remember you were a great teacher" I said giggling a little "Well I just wanted to change jobs do something else in my life" He replied "What about you?" He asked "I am actually a nurse" I told him giving him a smiling "A nurse, I never were to see you to become a nurse" he said "Yup ever since we lost Alex" I said taking a deep breath "Ever since we lost Alex and that nurse came and helped me and talked to me about her pregnancy and how she lost her child I always wanted to be a nurse. I wanted to help people who were going threw that and help people out" I told him "Wow that is amazing Rowan I am honestly so proud of you." He said placing his hand on my thigh. I felt my heart beat faster and my breathing get heavier, why does he have this spell on me I thought to myself.

We talked about for a hour or so catching up on things I mean we haven't talked in 5 years and so there was a lot of stuff to talk about. We were now watching a movie and I was on my 3rd glass of wine and Josh was still on his first even though it had been forever since we got them. Josh isn't a fan of wine that much but he will still drink it. "Run!!" I whispered-Screamed I heard Josh laughing "Hey don't laugh at me! This is intense!" I told him we were watching scream even though I said no scary movies he still put one on when I went to check on John. "Oh no stop no!" I hid my face into Josh arms not even thinking I was just so scared because the bad guy was going to kill someone. "Is it over?"
I asked still in hiding in Josh's arms "Yeah" he said and I lifted my head up and saw the person being stabbed! "How dare you!" I said slapping Josh's arm "Hey!" He said back rubbing his arm "Don't do that to me" I said with a sad face "Okay okay" he said laughing "I am tired" I said stretching "Do you wanna go to sleep" he asked "Yeah I go to bed" I said laying my head down on Josh lap I wasn't even thinking I guess the wine made me really tired and drunk. "Why-" Josh was starting to speak but I cut him off by putting my finger on his lips telling him to shh. I closed my eyes and fell asleep on his lap. I felt his hands play with my hair which made me fall asleep faster.

I was slightly awoken by someone standing up and picking me up. I heard a door open and was soon placed on a bed and might I say it was comfy. I opened my eyes to see I was in a room that I didn't recognize I was assuming it was Josh because it was grey and looked like his old room. I saw him starting to walk out when I said something "Please stay" I told Josh "Rowan you have a Boyfriend shoot a fiancé" Josh said "I know but please" I begged I heard him close the door and Climb in bed "Only for a little." He said he laid not very close to me so I scooted over and laid my head on his chest and went back to sleep.

Just like old times..

Sorry I didn't post yesterday! I usually write these on the bus but i had to hold my project and then I wouldn't write it at home because I was working on the project, anyway here is another chapter
