A/N: So this one is real light and calm mostly. But i promise you, read on and the story will take a hilariously insane turn! The next chapter will not be as crazy as the past few have been. It will be much more relatable in students environment. XD
The day is dark and dreary
The kids around me stand bewildered, as their eyes are teary
We watch over the black coffin hoisted over the grave
The priest standing up giving a sermon, telling everyone about how Mr. Davidson was brave
Mr. Davidson's smiling face stand tall next to the podium where the priest stand
Everyone was on their feet looking to him as he preached of heaven and hope and spoke of god and raised his hand
Tears rolled down my cheeks as my grief began to start
I felt the sorrow deep inside, as it made its way through my heart
I looked around and saw Lawrence, he stood not that far away, looking down
He was just staring blankly, as if he was talking to himself in his head, with nobody around
I felt my friend sally grab ahold of my hand as she looked at me
She said through broken tears, "Its OK Jenny. Mr Davidson is in a good place. You'll see"
I knew she was right, but it didn't hurt any less
Mr Davidson was one of my favorite teacher i must confess
I looked around for Devon, knowing he must feel some guilt
Everything was taken away that day, even the things he had built
Andy was on the right side, standing in the crowd as he looked away
He didn't seem to want to even look at the coffin, or i'm sure even stay
The service was long, we had a lot of tears
But it was good to finally say goodbye to Mr. Davidson, after all the love he'd given to teaching us in these years
Principal Joyce had us all get back on the buses and return to school
Since the fire 2 months ago, the repairs for the damaged section has been cruel
90 percent of the school was still intact and they eventually put us back in class
But it just hasn't been the same without Mr. Davidson's Science class
We pulled up to the school and headed in to the theater to sit and talk
We went through the front door and started to walk
All the students got together and sat in the theater seats and faced the stage
Principal Joyce went up to the middle and looked to us and gauged
Then with a loud voice she began to speak, "Alright everyone its time to begin"
"I know its been a tough day but i think its a good time to talk about what we're all feelin"
As i look over i see Lawrence coming down the isle towards me
As Principal Joyce talks in the background he sits down next me, and holds my hand as it fills me up with glee
"So if anyone has anything to say come up here on the stage and let it out"
As soon as principal Joyce said that a bunch of kids rose to their feet and went to the stage without a doubt
