  Chapter 6 ~Camping.

   Faith's Pov~

The past couple of days, since that day by the lake, I still couldn't figure out what Nathan meant by 'If you only knew'. At dinner that night they so happily informed us that we would all be going on the annual camping trip, the one I haven't been on since the year I left; and I was stuck sharing a tent with Nathan, since we were the last to dinner that night. I think he enjoyed he arrangement a tiny bit to much. It was now Friday and we are off from school for some holiday , and everyone was out front getting separated into groups for cars for rides to the campsite. "And finally Jade,Conner, and Faith," I was so glad I got with them and I started smiling, "With Nathan." My face instantly fell as Nathan's mom Lucy had said that.

"Damn it, I already have to share a tent with him and now this." I shouted, being a little bit to over dramatic. I stomped over to Nathan's car, popping the trunk, and shoved my luggage in it, slamming it closed. I sighed and put my head in my hands 'this is going to be one long weekend' I thought.

"Do you hate me THAT much?" I heard Nathan ask from behind me. When I turned around I saw a pained expression on his face, and it made my annoyed one soften. I sighed again for what seemed like the millionth time today.

"Nathan, I do not hate you; I could never hate you, you know that. But you do make it very hard to want to be around you, considering." I explained, guilt flashed through his eyes.

"I am so so sorry, Faith. Will you please just give me another chance, and wipe the past from your mind?" He said sincerely. I looked in his eyes to see if he was messing with me, but all I saw was regret and hope. What was all of this regret and guilt about lately, because I have seen a lot of it recently in his eyes, and voice.

"Look, Nathan, I believe your apology, but I can't just forget the past. Give me some time okay?" I told him, I couldn't forget the past but I didn't want to hold onto it forever either. It was killing me to not be with him, he was my mate after all .Then a thought came to mind, just as I was about to ask him, Jade interrupted.

"Soooo...are we going to leave, or just stand here all day; while you to stare at each other?" She chuckled at her own joke, I hadn't even noticed we were staring at each other, because I was lost in thought.

"We were not staring at each other!" I told her, even though it was a complete lie, I wasn't going to tell her that and hear no end of it.

"Uh uh, that's why I was standing here for five minutes straight and you didn't know I was here." She informed me with a smirk on her face.

"Ugh, you were not standing there, I would have noticed." I defended myself.

"Actually...she was." Conner put in his two-cents.

"How would you know?" I asked him, smirking because I got him on that.

"Because I was standing here also." He told me, a smirk now sliding onto his face. How could I not have noticed them.
