what hurts more than a brokenheart
it's the truth that i allowed it to break
by giving you the chance
to put my heart at stake
what hurts more than a broken promise
it's the fact that i believed it'd come true
because of a temporary happiness
from a temporary you
what hurts more than you and me
it's the reality of us
the story with no ending
when your words turned to dust
what hurts the most
is not the lies you said to me
not the truth that it was all for show
but the reality of me holding on to memories that never happened
when i was supposed to be letting go
