Jack's PoV:

Mark and I went to a nearby amusement park while Echo and Flower went to the gym. I liked seeing Mark smile and how his face lit up when he saw where we were going. As we approach another ride I looked at him as he stopped in his tracks.

"Hey, you okay?" I ask, seeing the smile on his face falter.

"Just memories is all," he responds, looking at the ride in front of us.

"We don't have to go on the ride if you don't want to."

"No, it's okay, lets ride it. No point in letting old memories hold us back from riding a ride."

I smile as I realize that he's getting better faster than I expected. "Are you sure? We don't have to."

"I'm sure, you asking only makes me question more if I am. Lets get in line." He drags me into line by my hand tightly in his. I look at the ride, at Mark, at his hand holding mine, then smile even wider. I scoot closer to him and lean against him a little.

"I'm glad you're getting better."

Mark's PoV:

I feel the smile on my face falter as he said that. Since I'm not actually getting better, am I. It only seems like I am because I'm not keeping him from riding a ride that is full of memories for me. I remember that my friends had tries to cheer me up by bringing me here, riding all the rides they could get us on. It didn't work, obviously, but for some reason this time feels different. Maybe because I'm with Jack... I keep walking up in line with Jack practically hanging on my arm. I space out as I start thinking of all the times I've been here, avoiding the times I came here with my family as much as possible. I didn't realize it was our turn to get on the ride until Jack snapped me out of my thoughts by practically pulling me forward. Jack looks at me just as I feel my smile returning, and not a fake one either, my REAL smile. I see him smile even wider if that was possible and pull me into a hug before we buckle up. He grabs my hand once we're buckled and ready.

~time skip to when they finish up at the amusement park because I'm too lazy to write it~

I see Jack smile, cotton candy in one hand, a big bag of treats in the other. I take the cotton candy from him and take a piece off. He takes a piece and shoves it into his mouth quickly. I laugh a little when I see some of the blue cotton candy sticking out the sides of his mouth. He looks at me, a look that's asking 'what?'

"You've got some cotton candy sticking out the side of your mouth," I say, pointing at the strings of sugar. He giggles and licks the cotton candy off the sides of his mouth. I smile and then I see something across the street, I could tell it wasn't real and just a memory, but I still couldn't help myself.

Jack's PoV:

I lick the cotton candy off the sides of my mouth, giggling. Until I saw Mark stop, the smile on his face faltering. I see he's looking across the street and look, but see nothing there. I look at Mark again to see his breathing become shallower and see him falling just in time to catch him as he goes limp. I drop everything as I catch him.

"Woah," I say, nearly falling from the sudden weight. I gently drag him to the nearest wall so I can set him against it as I clean up the mess. I quickly clean up the mess, putting it in a plastic and tie the bag through a belt loop so I can throw it away when I find a trashcan. I go back to Mark and pick him up. I carry him back to his place.

As I walk I see Flower and Echo talking and laughing across the street, still in their workout clothes.

"ECHO! FLOWER!" I yell, getting their attention. They look around and see us and look both ways before quickly running to us, almost at a sprint.

"What happened?" Flower asks as Echo helps me with Mark.

"I don't know, but whatever he saw made him faint. He didn't exactly say anything."

Echo and Flower nod and we all walk home, Flower and Echo helping me get him inside and I take him and walk over to the couch as they get changed and grab some things. I sit on the couch, Mark next to me. Mark's leaning against me and I wrap my arm around him, laying my head on his. I pull him closer, closing my eyes.

I open my eyes when I hear someone walk in. I see Echo and Flower walk in in sweatpants and sweatshirts. They look at Mark and I and smile.

"There's a reason he's talked to you more than anyone else," Echo says, placing a glass of water on the table. "You know what that reason is, don't you?"

"Huh?" I say, kinda confused. "What do you mean?"

Echo and Flower look at each other, smiling at something that it seems I can't see. "Nevermind," Flower says, smiling.

"No, tell me."

"It's not our place to tell you," Flower says, following Echo to the door. "We'll see you in the morning."

They both leave, heading to bed. I just lay my head on Mark's, pulling him as close to my side as I can. I close my eyes, slowly drifting away to sleep. My thought before sleep fell over me wracking my brain.

Mark doesn't like me in that way... does he?
