 Today was it.

Today was the day all kids despised from the bottom of their hearts.

Today was the day that had everybody bursting into tears.

It was the Yearly Drawing.

Our government, which was ruled by President Treadway, created this day.

Do not ask me why, because no one knows.

It could of had been the fact that President Treadway hated everyone besides herself, it could of had been that she was bored, and it even could of had been that she needed a new type of entertainment.

Why do we let this day happen? you might be asking.

Well, nobody messes with President Treadway, unless they have a death wish.

Let me explain more about the yearly drawing.

All kids ages 5-20 living on our planet have to write their names on a piece of paper and turn it into the President's mailbox.

If you don't well, lets just say you die.

After every child ages 5-20 in the world turn in their names, President Treadway collects all the names and puts them in this big, black box. When it isn't time for the yearly drawing, she keeps the big black box underneath her desk.

Then, on January 1st, President Treadway picks 20 names from the big black box. These 20 names then go into a maze of life or death. The maze is called The Labyrinth, but everybody calls it LOD behind President Treadway's back.

LOD stands for the Labyrinth of Death.

Once you get picked, there is no turning back. There is only one entrance, and only one exit. LOD is filled with all types of mysterious creatures, and whoever reaches the exit first, wins cash and all the fame and fortune you could ever imagine.

That is, if you get out alive.

Today was the day when millions-no- BILLIONS of families dressed up nicely and sat at the couch and turned it on Channel 8 at noon exactly to watch President Treadway pull out 20 pieces of paper from the big, black box.

Since it was 9 in the morning on January 1st, I was getting ready.

"C'mon, lets go! We can't be late!" My twin sister, Lorelei whined.

" We are only going to our living room, Lorelei." I responded without looking at her.

Lorelei was my identical twin sister, but we have totally opposite personalities.

For example, Lorelei was really calm,  and loved this soft dance stuff. She was one of those people that attracted other people because she was so nice. Sometimes I just wanted to squeeze and shake her, to get the niceness out of her.

On the other hand, I loved sports, including soccer. I was really laid back, but I wasn't lazy. I was far from it as a matter of fact. I loved to workout, and I ran 3 miles every morning. I was really outgoing, and loved the outdoors and everything about it. I was really funny, cracking jokes everywhere I went.

Me and Lorelei both have blond hair, and these peircing pair of green eyes. We are both 5'10, which is tall for our age of 15.

"But you need to do my hair!" Lorelei yelled at me.

Everyday I did our hair the exact same way, in a tight braid from the top of our head to the bottom.

Only I knew how to braid out of the 2 of us, and that's why she asks me.

"Only if you help me pick out a dress." I answered.

Lorelei had a much better fashion sense then me.
