Karen Grant has launched three Angel groups: Toronto Angel Group (2001), NorthernOntario Angels (2005), and Angel One Investor Network (2011). She is a company founder, corporate director, and mentor. In 1991, she led the Toronto Venture Group, a not-for-profit organization with the mandate to "bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and capital," working with hundreds of companies that were seeking capital.

Kirk Hamilton is an executive with international experience achieving market adoption of technology products. Mary Long-Irwin is Executive Director of Northern Ontario Angels, one of the top performing Angel groups in Canada. Prior to this, Mary was CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, and previous to that, for 10 years Mary was responsible for providing small business loans in northern communities. She was born, raised and educated inThunder Bay and remains a strong advocate for business and industry.

Dr. Andrew Maxwell is Professor of Entrepreneurial Engineering at Lassonde School of Engineering, York University, and Chief Innovation Officer at the Canadian InnovationCentre. Dr. Dave Valliere is Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at Ryerson University. His research interests include culture and cognitive psychology in entrepreneurs and investors, information signalling in early-stage capital markets,and the economic and public-policy functions of entrepreneurship.
