Chapter 11-Choices change lives

Luna's POV

I still hadn't chosen my Alpha. Everyone was still waiting. I felt bad for making them wait. They were being such angels. There was no fighting, or even dirty looks. But I still couldn't decide. I sit up in my room thinking. Sometimes both jake and Riley try to intrest me more into them, by bringing me food or water. Sometimes kissing me lightly on the cheek, while the other is away. I felt ashamed and confused. Its like having a affair with one guy, but also with the other. I cry often, waiting for the answer to pop in my head. I ran over the things they had done. Jake: Lied to me, used me, loved me. Riley: abused me, threatened me, forgave me, loved me. It was too close. The tension in my room could have been cut through with a butter knife. I had no idea.

I walked out my room to be greeted by Riley. He was dressed nicely, compared to me in my dressingown. He bent down and kissed my hand, making my blush a little.

"Why are you outside my room, Riley?" I laughed. He straightened up.

"I kept a eye on you last night, you seemed sad,. I just wanted to make you feel safe" He said softly. He took my hand again, leading me through inti the kitchen. Bella was there. So were all my sisters. Angela, Ria, Amira, Laura. The hair curlers were heated. Makeup was all over the desktops. Angela grabbed my hand and pulled me into the chair, grinning. Bella did my hair, while Angela did my nails, Ria did my eyes, Amira did my lips and cheeks and Laura picked out clothes from a rack. Wait... Some of the things on that rack weren't even mine. This was big. I always fought with my sisters over clothing.

When i was finished, they put my hand in Riley's again and i could feel the air empty from his chest. He moved his hand to the arch in my back to lead me along. He quickly looked behind, mouthing thanks. All my sisters went back to usual business. Riley lead me outside, and into the forest behind the house. I could see light ahead through the trees, i guessed we had walked about 10 minutes. The meadow was filled with wild daisies and other flowers. I gasped at its beauty and Riley lead me to the middle of the clearing.

"Its-" I started dazed.

"Beautiful i know" Riley interupted. His smile made me think he was the one. Could he be the one? Jake hadn't put as much effort in as Riley had. He had planned this whole day. Surely he must be the one. But love shouldn't be judged on effort should it? It should be part of it, but surely love is about trust and romance. I'd been swayed, but after today, anything could happen tomorrow.
