CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR ;
When Kasey pulled up to her parents home, she could tell things have changed since the last time she'd been here.
Her father wasn't in the shed, her mother wasn't watering the garden, and her dog, Spot, wasn't chasing the squirrels. All the usual things she came home to.
Kasey pushed open the front and set her stuff on the stairs, "Hello?" Her voice echoed throughout the house
"Kasey?"
"Mum?"
Mary Middleton raced down the stairs to greet her daughter, "Oh Kasey I'm so glad you're here!" Her mother smiled, throwing her arms around Kasey
"Hi, mum. How are you doing?" Kasey asked as she wrapped her arms around her mother
Mary sighed and pulled out of the hug, "I'm okay."
"Where's dad and Spot?" Kasey asked, crossing her arms
"They're with Eliza."
"Who the hell is Eliza?" Kasey threw her hands up in the air
"Your father's new girlfriend." Mary sighed
"Oh hell no. Where is he?" Kasey asked
"Sweetheart please-"
"Has he been cheating on you?" Kasey asked, trying to stay calm
Her mother nodded
"How long?"
"3 months." Mary frowned
"Address."
"Kasey it's noon. He could be busy."
"Address, now."

Borrowing her mother's car, Kasey raced through Boston to get to her fathers new home. When Kasey arrived, she quickly got out of the car and slammed the door
She ran up to the doorstep and knocked on the door
Soon, a woman who looked about 23 years old with light blonde hair opened the door, "Can I help you?" The woman asked with a raised eyebrow
Kasey pulled a fake smile, "Oh yes is Richard home?"
The woman looked Kasey up and down, then rolled her eyes, "Yeah he's in here. Come in."
The woman opened the door wider to let Kasey in. Kasey looked around, 'Jesus' she thought. This house was beautiful.
She remembered how her mother dreamed of a house like this when she was younger, and now, her father has it.
"Eliza, who was at the door?" A man's voice came from the living room
"A woman looking for you. You aren't cheating on me are you?" The woman -Eliza- asked, giving Kasey a look
The man laughed, "Of course not I love you too much."
Kasey spoke up, "You sure do know a lot about love don't you Richard?"
"Kasey?" Her father got up off the couch, a smiled on his face, "Honey how are you? I'm so glad you're here!"
"Cut the shit, Richard." Kasey snapped
"Excuse you? You will not speak to him like that in his home!" Eliza snapped at Kasey
"Oh go sit down and drink some juice Eliza, the grown-ups are talking." Kasey hissed
"Kasey please-"
"You cheated on my mother! And you took my dog!" Kasey yelled, crossing her arms
"I wanted more kids, you can't be mad. I wanted to give you more siblings!" Her father argued
"You're shitting me, right? You expect me to let this slide because you couldn't keep your dick in your pants?" Kasey laughed
"I don't appreciate you speaking to me like that. I am your father, I deserve respect." Richard snapped
Kasey laughed, "You are not my father. You don't deserve that title anymore. My father would never cheat on the woman he loved for 26 years. Let alone cheat on her with some child." Kasey glared at Richard
"Excuse me? I'm no child I'm 22 years old. Thanks." Eliza snapped at Kasey
"You're right." Kasey sighed, "You aren't a child."
Eliza smiled, "Thank-"
"I think you're more of a pre-teen? I mean pre-teens know better than to sleep with a married man but." Kasey cut Eliza off with a smile
"Kasey I think you should go." Richard sighed, placing his hand on top of his head
"You're right. I should." Kasey turned to walk away, "I want you to know, Richard, you are not in my life anymore. You will not come near me or my mother once the divorce is finalized, and I swear to god if you go anywhere near my mother's house or my apartment, I will call the police without a single hesitation." Kasey looked back at Richard, "Is that clear?"
Richard looked down at the ground and nodded
Kasey smiled, "Good! Now, where's my dog?" She asked, looking around for Spot
Richard whistled and soon Kasey heard the clicking of her dog's feet. Spot, the white German Sheppard, ran to Richard side.
Kasey smiled, "Come here Spot!" Spot ran quickly to Kasey's side. Kasey smiled at Richard and Eliza "Goodbye." She gripped Spots collar in one hand and put her other hand on the doorknob and opened the door, walked out then slammed it on her way out
She helped Spot into the front seat, then got into her seat and drove away.
