Aly?"
I turn around and see my friends all suited up and Loki.
"Yeah?"
"Fury assigned you babysitting duty." Clint
"And how long am I supposed to babysit for?"
"The longest will be a year." Steve
"A year?"
They nod.
"Well I guess it's a damn good thing I have no life." I say sarcastically with venom in my voice.
"We'll all do something to repay you when we get back." Nat
"Fine."
"We're sorry Aly." Bruce
"You better get going, clock's ticking."
They all hug me as they leave and go into the elevator to leave the Avengers tower.
I look at Loki. "Are you hungry?"
He nods.
"Pizza fine?"
He nods again. I order it. Then I walk into the living room to see Loki watching Family Fued. Tony made him watch it to get him into Earth's way of life. I guess Loki actually likes the show.

Once the pizza was here, I paid the man and then Loki and I ate it.
Pretty soon it was late and I decided to head to bed. I stand up and strech.
"I'm going to bed. Night Loki." I walk out of the room.
I walk into my room and get ready for bed. I get under my blankets and fall asleep.

I wake up the next morning and make breakfast which is cereal since I didn't feel like cooking. Loki walks down with his hair all messy and only in sweats. He gets some coffee and his cereal before he joins me at the table.
"Sleep well?"
He nods as he chews.
"I have to go out today. You can come if you want."
"Where are you going?"
"The bank, my apartment, Wal-Mart. Not in that order though"
"I thought you lived here."
"I do. I still have stuff that I need to bring over. I'll probably be out all day."
"I'll go."
"After you get ready we'll go."
He nods. I put my dishes in the dishwasher and head to my room. I take a shower and walk into my bedroom.
"Hey Jarvis, what's the weather like?"
"Warm enough to wear pants and a sweatshirt."
"Thanks."
"I live to serve."
I pick out my clothes and put them on. Then I blow dry my short hair. It's not really short, it reaches my shoulders, but it's short for me since I donated my hair last month. I slip on my black boots and put on my black leather jacket that Tony got me. I then put on my watch and grab my purse. I leave my room and go in the elevator. Jarvis drops me off at the ground floor. I step out of the elevator and see Loki waiting for me.
"Ready?"
He nods and I hop in my black 67' Impala. Tony was impressed when he saw me drive up to the tower with my car. I put on the music and country music plays. First stop was the bank. I pull up to the machine instead of going inside. Then we head to Wal-Mart. One of my favorite songs come on and I sing along. I can see Loki look at me. I park the car and we walk into Wal-Mart.
"Don't kill anyone. We don't need a scene." I lower my voice so only he can hear me.
He doesn't say anything as he follows me to the toy section. I walk to the girl toys and look at the shelves. I pick up the Barbie doll and then head to the chip isle. I grab a can of Cheddar Cheese Pringles.
"Do you want anything?"
He grabs a bag of Smartfood. Then we head to the registers.
"Aly?" A deep male voice that I wish I never heard.
I ignore him and keep walking. My arm has been grabbed and I turn around to see my ex.
"Dave. What do you want?"
"I was wondering if you were busy this weekend?"
"Yep."
"Oh. Next weekend?"
"I'm booked until I die."
"With what?"
"Work."
"Maybe you can take a break and we can hang out."
"I can't."
"Why?"
"My life doesn't revolve around you."
"Really? Since when?"
"Since you cheated."
"That's all in the past. We can start new."
"I don't want to."
"Why?"
"Just leave me alone."
"Or what?"
"You'll regret it." A cold voice says next to me.
"And who are you?"
Loki grabs my hand. "Her boyfriend."
"That so? What's her favorite color?"
"Purple."
"Favorite song?"
"Warrior."
"Favorite food?"
"Lasagna."
I'm surprised at how much Loki knows about me.
"Fav-"
"We have to go. Bye Dave." I cut him off and pull Loki away from him. We get in line and I pay for our stuff. He takes the bag for me and carries it while still holding my hand. We walk out and pass Dave who glares at Loki. We get in the car and I start the car. I pull out of Wal-Mart and head to my apartment.
"You didn't have to do that."
"Would you rather me kill him?"
"Yes."
He looks at me and I look at him. Then I look at the road.
"Why did you do it?"
"Just a feeling I had."
"Well thanks."
"You're welcome."
The ride to my apartment was silent.

After grabbing the last four boxes, we head home. Loki and Happy help me bring boxes to my room. I unpack them and then go to the kitchen. I see Loki in the living room reading. I make sandwiches for us.

Babysitting Loki isn't bad at all. We get along quiet well. I think we've become friends.
"Loki?" I look up from my book and look at him.
"Hmm?" He says as he reads his book.
"How do you know so much about me if we never talked before?"
"I pay attention."
"But you ignore everyone else. Why do you pay attention when it comes to me?"
"You interest me."
"I thought you'd find me annoying."
"I don't."
"Why?"
"You're different than the others."
"Because I've killed more people than they have combined."
"No."
"Then why?"
He doggy eared the page and puts down the book. He turns his body to look at me. "You don't hate me, you understand me, make me feel just as important as everyone else, you actually care, the way you think makes sense to me, you get along with everyone, and you make me feel different when I'm around you."
I look at him.
"Most importantly you trust and believe in me."
"You've been reading my thoughts."
"Yes but-"
"I don't care." I cut him off.
"You don't?"
"No. But there's something you're not telling me and you don't know if you should."
"How would you know?"
"I'm not so innocent as everyone thinks I am."
"Nobody is innocent."
"Except you."
"I haven't done anything wrong."
"Not according to us."
"Close your eyes."
I look at him confused.
"Please."
"So you do have manners."
He smirks and I close my eyes. I feel lips on mine. He's kissing me. I kiss back.
I move my arms to the back of his neck and pull him closer to me. He puts one of his hands to my hip and the other goes to the back of my head. He asks for an entrance but I don't let him in. He moves his hand down my back and slips under my shirt. I gasp at how cold his hands are. He slips his tongue in my mouth. He moans as our tongues touch. My phone goes off playing, Minion's Banana song. I pull away and he growls. I take my phone out of my boot and see Nat calling. I answer it.
"Hi Nat!"
"Hi!" Everyone
"Is Brother there?"
"Yes."
"Put us on speaker." Tony
I do.
"Is he behaving?" Clint
"Yeah."
"No problems?" Steve
"Nope."
"Good." Tony
"How's the mission coming?"
"Not so well. Tony's going crazy and Bruce is trying to calm him down." Nat
"I'm not crazy!" Tony yells in the distance.
"He's definitely not normal. So I take it you're not coming home soon?"
"No is he too boring for you?" Clint
"No. I can actually relax."
"Hey!" Some of them.
"Seriously though, I miss you guys."
"We miss you too." Nat
"Ha!" Tony yells. Then there's a crash.
"Shit!"
I laugh. "Better go see he's not broken."
"Right. Call you soon. Bye!"
"Bye Nat!" I hang up and put my phone back in my boot. I look at Loki and he kisses me again.
I kiss back.
