Love lives in poetry

Even when love fades from heart

Even when the worlds drift apart

When I am too blind to see

Your love lives in your poetry

The pain you have in there

I go through the same despair

When everything comes to an end

When now we are not even friends

Will survive however hard it might be

As your love still lives in your poetry

You believe I can’t feel your words

I won’t tell so believe whatever you may

But my heart hears the words you never even say

I know there are tears unshed in your eyes

Because my heart weeps them out before you realize

And it gets more painful each time we say goodbyes

Even with so many goodbyes and tears

Even with so much pain and all the fears

I am going to smile with all my heart’s grief

Because I know your love still lives in your poetry

You decided something you thought was right

I disagree but I give up and now I won’t fight

if you believe going away would make me happy

but happiness without you would mean nothing to me

even when all the connections break between us

even when there is nothing left to discuss

there is something left, it didn’t end completely

Because our love still lives in our poetry.
