She shouldn't have....

Reading what she shouldn’t have read,

Feeling what she shouldn’t have felt,

And Being what she wasn’t supposed to be.

Thinking what she shouldn’t have thought,

Fighting when she shouldn’t have fought,

And wounded when she wasn’t ready to bleed.

Lied when she should have told the truth,

Gave up when she should have argued,

And lost when she had nothing to succeed.

Just cried when she should have died,

Got hopeless when she should have tried,

And disappointed as her heart grieved.

Blamed when she should have accepted,

Burned what she should have protected,

And broke as everything she felt was revealed.
