Dear future self, I'd like you to know
That no matter what they might say to you
That doesn't matter, it is what you do
That will take you where you want to go
I want you to remember those nights slow
And painful, or those days many and few
When your smile shined so bright and true
You had no worries, but now you know
Life isn't as easy as we thought but
I hope it got better as the years passed
My problems probably seem so stupid
Now in hindsight. Your life is what
You make it and I'm trying my best
And it has made me more lucid.
