AMY POV

It's been a year since he left. A year since I heard one of his smart ass replies. A year since he held me. A year since he saw the light of day.

John is still in denial. He believed he's faking it again. He comes with me everyday to visit his grave, but pretends nothing has happened. Like tomorrow everything will go back to how it was.

I place the flowers at the base of the engraved stone, glancing over at John sitting on a bench by the fence. He has the same look he always that he always has when we come here plastered on his face. One of no emotion. By habit I start to read his morning by his outfit.
Has a tea stain on his checkered dress shirt that he always keeps clean suggesting he was in a rush this morning, because he got up late. This is also supported by the untucked pocket of his jeans. He had a row with someone close, Mary, or could be Sherlock-
Sherlock. A tear threatens to run down my cheek but I contain it, knowing that if I don't it will never stop.

I must have been here for a while, as John is silently making his way towards me, so we can leave.

"I miss you," I whisper to the lifeless stone. "I miss you so much Sherlock."

SHERLOCK POV

I have to restrain myself from running out from the tree I'm pressed up against towards Amy. I can't. Not yet. Not when I'm this close to catching him.

I'm not sure John will ever forgive me. Not when I've done this to him before. I made him suffer. I'm not the most experienced in emotions, but I can read hurt and loss when I see it.

This will all be over when I stop him. When I stop Moriarty.
