Twin Reflection

In the mirror I see a girl,

Her face looks dead yet the sadness in her eyes whirl.

What caused this child to take on the night?

And what caused this child to show up in my sight?

I feel like I could have known her,

Because of the pain she seems to shed.

I don’t understand who could leave her to this doom,

It seems as if they took her hand on that path and lead.

I wish I could wake her from this dream,

So that I might have time to catch her from this endless fall.

If only I could prove that she could now depend on me.

Than maybe, just maybe she could learn how to live than to just be.

She is my twin, as well as my sister.

And I will let nobody ever again hurt her.

No boy or girl or miss or mister.
