Never Meant To Belong

The red liquid slowly seeps out of my lips

Look love, the stars are shining for you

Soon I will be one of them,

Watching from above.

I don't think I can last that long,

The dark blade has pierced my heart too deep

There is no use in pulling it out

I'm not afraid.

Please do not cry for me,

It saddens me to see you like this.

I will miss your scent

I will miss all that time we spent as children,

Sleeping next to each other on snowy nights.

Remember me as the girl

Who smiled no matter what,

Not as the man with the black heart.

You believed in me even though

Others had turned their backs on me

It is time to say goodbye

Why are you piercing your chest?

You have so much to life for.

At least we will die together then

With one last kiss

We will face death triumphantly,

No fear, no sorrow.
