EIKA'S POV
The moment when suddenly...everything stop. A moment when you know deep inside you...it's time for another bumpy ride. And in your heart you have great doubts, if you will be able to hold on again.
I wish I could write those words. A few words that only registered my mind when I heard what Craige's said. The name that I never imagined hearing in front of Yale. Not like this.
Definitely not this moment.
Fear crept into my heart. Did something happened to Lake? Dapat talaga hindi na ako umaalis sa tabi niya...dapat-
...
...
"As I have said, ginagawa ko lang ito para matapos na ang lahat. He's still safe." Tumango si Yale..but Craige is looking at me...reassuring me.
I sighed with relief. Everything will be alright....for now.
"Kailangan namin siyang bantayan right? Sasabihin ba namin sa kaniya ang tungkol sa pakay namin o magpapanggap kami?"-yale
"There's no reason for you two to pretend. He's aware of what he's going through yet he didnt ask for any protection. The organization volunteered to do the work. Pinag-usapan na namin ito ni Warren. We need to do this."
"Why?"
Craige shrugged. Nag pout si Yale na mukhang hindi kuntento sa sagot ni Craige pero hindi na siya nagtanong pa ulit.
"I-I...can do this on my own. Besides kailangan si Yale dito."
Napatingin sakin si Yale na kumunot ang noo. "Hindi pwedeng mag-isa ka lang. You dont know what you're signing up for. It's dangerous."
"Kailan mo ba matatanggap na isa na ako sa inyo ngayon? I can manage on my own, Yale. I dont need you to be my babysitter."
"Even for a professional...our work is dangerous. Let alone, let you do this without any assistance. You need a partner."
