Gratitude

slay me if i penelopize my joyful speech,
gladdened heart pacing, racing for You-
of reminiscent pasts long consumed, me-
tampering in tropical heat: learning,
heeding, conceding, grieving-growing;
culmination-cheers, sufficiently sustained.
play me to lose shall i befit rodomonts,
all I have is Yours, my very essence-You.
entirety pleased by thy palpable presence,
great folly to deny Your infallible faithfulness,
Living water flowed, quenched thirsts,
i shan't cease to say thank You.
