A cold, brisk autumn air drifted past me as I trailed down the newly paved sidewalk, no one in sight. The feeling of eyes watching me appear and I turn around swiftly seeing Ashleigh laughing at me and yelling, "Gotcha Anastasia!" I roll my eyes, "Really Ash, just call me Ana." She laughs and puts her arm around me joking around about our chemistry homework. We get to school and I head straight for my locker. I enter the combination and my locker flops open, books spilling out. I bend down to pick them up and I  turn to my left seeing a boy with wavy caramel hair with eyes just a shade lighter. I smile at him and stand back up smoothing out my skirt and closing my locker. I make my way to first period to find the teacher giving me a strange note that I'm leaving. I furrow my brow unsure why I'm leaving. I grab my bag tossing it over my shoulder making my way to the front waiting around for a ride. When the boy that I saw earlier comes up to me. I gasp at the excruciating pain of what seems to be a needle. I fall limp crashing to the ground. My eyes trying to stay open but slowly closing. My lips part barely getting out, "Why?"
