Chapter 24

You ate the last piece of your bread and stood up, brushing off the crumbs and walked back to the town.

"We need a place to stay." Flowey told you. "Its probably night on the surface...and..."

"Yeah?" You asked him, glancing to your right. He avoided your eyes, his cheeks tinted in red.

"I-i thought you might be tired...dimwit." he muttered. You smiled at him and nodded in response.

"Okay, i saw an inn before on our way. Maybe we can stay there for awhile." You pointed out. He nodded and you walked to the direction of the inn.

"Hope you enjoy staying here!" The recepstionist said. You mumbled a thanks and went upstairs.

"Number...4!" You unlocked the door and went inside. The room was warm unlike the harsh weather outside. The place was not so small either.

"Bed!!!" You shouted, leaving your bag on the ground and jumped into the comfort of the bed.

"Hey, we still need to pack and plan for our journey." Flowey warned you. You pouted but nonetheless sat up from your position.

"So first," Flowey said. "We need food. You won't be able to move and its irritating to hear your complains."

"Okay."

"And then we need to buy equipments for your journey." Flowey added.

"Why?"

"Are you planning to wear your jacket and that stupid scarf forever?!" Flowey asked irritatingly.

"Yeah?" You smiled seepishly and rubbed your cheeks.

"Ugh...you're so stupid...whatever, just buy the equipments."

"Got it!" You smiled and nodded.

"...you don't get it, do you?" Flowey sighed and rubbed his forehead. You grinned and shook your head.

"Nope!"

You went outside for a walk around Snowdin. Flowey decided to stay in the inn rather than going out to the snow again.

"Seems like everyone here doesn't know what human look like..." you mumbled waving back at some of the monsters who waved at you.

"First of all, food!" You told yourself. You sniffed and smelt the scent of food. You followed the smell and ended up standing in front of a restaurant.

"Grillby's?" You asked yourself but shrugged and entered the shop. The bell jingled upon entering but no one paid attention to it.

The place was warm, you noted. You looked at the counter and saw a monster wiping the glass.

(Okay i forgot to tell you this but Grillbz could speak here. XD)

"Um...excuse me?" You asked as you took a seat. The bartender looked up for a second, acknowledging your presence, before returning to wipe the glass.

"Do you...uh, sell food here for journey?" You asked. You mentally screamed at how stupid you were.

The bartender shook his head, and returned to wipe the glass. You sighed in defeat and sat there.

"Oh, okay then-" your words were cut off by your stomach growling. He stared at you as you started blushing out of embarassment.

"U-uh..." you stuttered looking aside, avoiding to make eye contact with him. You then heard a chuckle. You glanced and saw the bartender chuckling at you.

"How about you order some food first?" He suggested. You nodded, still embarassed of what just happen.

"It's delicious, Grill!" You conplimented taking another bite of the burger. He chuckled at your action and handed you a glass of water.

Yes, he introduced himself as Grillbz and offered you the menu. You called him Grill and both of you ended up talking with him stuff.

"Thanks." You smiled at him and took the glass of water. He nodded, his fire grew brighter before dimming down.

While you were drinking your water, you noticed that he kept staring at your scarf. You chuckled, putting down the glass.

"Paps borrowed it from me." You explained without him asking. "I was cold at that time only with a jacket so he lent it to me." You smiled, pulling up your scarf, hiding your smile.

He nodded at the explanation. You felt the surroundings get warmer but ignored it.

"How much is the food?" You asked him. He looked at you before shaking his head. Your eyes widen at this.

"N-no i still need to pay it!" You told him, trying to take out your bag of gold.

"No." He stopped you, putting his hand on top of yours, preventing it to move any further. Its not burning. Its warm, you couldn't describe it, but it felt nice. Its really weird how your hand wasn't burning to crisps until now.

"O-okay..." You blushed at the contact and slowly put it back to your satchel. If he had a face you would have seen him smirking.

It was only the two of you left. The place was already closing for the day and you felt like you sgould leave before you faced the wrath of Flowey.

'Dimwit! How can you just go and have fun and not even do what i told you to?!'

You shudder at the thought. Nope, not this time.

"Well its almost time to close the shop, right?" You hoped off the chair and stood up straight. "I should get going. See you next time Grill!" You smiled at him before walking outside the restaurant.

"..." Grillbz stared at the door before shaking his head, a ghost smile plastered on his face.

"Wait i never saw this route before..." you looked at a hidden path. The inn was up ahead but it piqued your curiosity and you decided to went on the path.

"Its kinda dark here..." you mumbled, squinting your eyes to see better.

"Maybe i should've head back..."

BLUE

Your eyes turned glowed white without your knowledge as you blinked.

You found yourself in front of the inn. You turned back only to see the path was blocked by the bushes, if there was even one in the first place.

"How did i...?" You said out loud in confusion. You sighed and shrugged it off, entering the inn again.

"Time for Flowey's rant..."

A/N: This is chapter 24! FINALLY I FINISHED IT!!! So i decided Grillbz should have more attention because...just because._.
