Early Awakenings

"AUDREY!!!" my brother, Drew Jenson, screamed from downstairs. 

I covered my head with my blankets to block out his voice. 

Cant a girl get some sleep?

"AUDREY!!" Drew screamed again, except louder and closer. 

"Shut up Drew..." I whispered sleepily.

Drew removed the covers form face and pinched my cheeks, stretching them in every direction. "Wake up Audrey..! Its 7:30, were going to be late!" He said annoyed.

I shot up like a lighting bolt. 

"I-its 7:30? Shit..I'm gonna be late!" 

"No shit Sherlock.." my brother said sarcastically.

I glared him,although I couldn't see him very well since me glasses weren't on. 

"Get out my room!" I yelled pushing him out, but got nowhere since Drew is like a foot taller than me.

"You need to work out more" Drew said smirking at me. 

"For your information, I do work out, now get out of my room so I can get dressed..!" I said pushing him harder out the door. 

"Ok ok...I'll be waiting downstairs...don't be a slowpoke." Drew said closing my door. 

Ughh....Drew is such a....such a....butthole. 

Wow that's the best you can do Audrey? A voice said from the back of my head. 

"Shut up!" I screamed. 

"Stop talking to yourself Audrey!" My mom yelled from downstairs as well. 

I heard Drew crack up in laughter.

Thanks Mom, thank you so very much. Can you sense the sarcasm? 

I walked sluggishly to my bathroom and started to run the water. 

I then hoped into the shower and washed my light brown hair with my strawberry smelling shampoo. 

I just happen to love the smell of strawberries, don't judge. 

Once I got out, I dried myself and my hair and went towards my closet. 

 

Ended up going with a coral button-up top, sky blue skinny jeans, and my tan Sperry's. 

I frantically brushed my hair into a very messy side braid and put on my thin-rimmed black glasses. 

I went back into the bathroom and brushed my teeth like a mad woman,grabbed my bookbag, and strolled downstairs. 

"You are soo sloww." Drew complained. 

"I'm so sorry for being born a girl then." I said walking into the kitchen. 

"You totally should be.." Drew said slumping down into the couch. 

"You guys are so special." My mom said laughing at both me and Drew.

I grabbed an apple and walked into the living room.

"Wow thanks mom." I said sarcastically. 

"You are so very welcome." My mom said smiling. 

My mom can never tell when I'm being sarcastic...I feel kinda bad for her honestly. 

"Well you two should be going now.." my mom said continuing to watch Judge Judy.

"Yeah yeah...come on AJ.." Drew said walking toward the front door and opening it. 

"Coming! Bye mom!" I said following Drew. 

"Bye guys!!" My mom screamed before I shut the door. 

My mornings are so normal, right?
