The Secret for Success

He was told that strength was all it took,

For if he was strong he'd reach the skies,

He tried to be strong and follow through,

but that's what led to his demise,

He was told that the strong can never weep,

That he should have a heart that never cries,

He was told to always smile,

But he has a face that never tries,

He would wear a mask and pretend,

But it was a face you would despise,

For there was a smile on his face,

Yet there was sadness in his eyes,

He was told it was all just in his head,

That it's his imagination in sorrow's guise,

It's just your mind that's playing games,

But he knew they were empty pointless lies,

He ultimately did succeed and flew,

He finally has a face that never cries,

He only had to denounce his sentiments in return,

Because now he has a heart that never tries.
