Matt Rogers has a crisis in hand.
The Sadie Hawkins Dance is coming up and no girl has asked him yet. Add that to his failing grades, his drinking problem and his strained relationship with his father, his life is basically living hell. His best friend James tells him that he needs to find an anchor to keep holding on to--his inspiration.
And Matt does find his anchor in Danielle Tanner but when he meets Kayla Carlos, he's pretty sure she's the inspiration he's been waiting for.
When tragedy strikes him down to the ground, he isn't looking for the anchor or the inspiration anymore because what he needs right now, is his reason to stay.
