When you first came to Deadman Wonderland you were a frail, weak, and timid girl. For some reason this made the Undertaker, Azuma Genkaku, all the more interested in you. He had found your fear in him exhilarating. You wouldn't talk to him at first, you found solace in your quiet moments and your main interest was in staying alive. Your fear kept you alive, and that same fear kept Azuma Genkaku that much more intrigued in you.

So, one day, when he cornered you like the mouse in a maze that you really were, he told you that you had two choices. One, be another fool and inevitably die. Death is the only salvation for anyone, after all. Or two, play the ultimate cat and mouse game with him, and if you live through it in the end, he'll give you something in return.

     "What will you give me?"

"You'll just have to wait and see, little mouse."

He had said it that day with the most sardonic grin on his face, and you knew that you were beyond naïve accepting his second proposal. But what else was there to do here in Deadman Wonderland? Everyone died eventually, right? What was the hurt in going along with whatever Genkaku had planned anyways?

Well, there were lots of things. First of all, he was the leader of the Undertakers, which meant that you were going against everything moral and going against your friends. Secondly, Genkaku was and is brutal, impulsive, extremely dangerous. Any bad adjective you could possibly conjure.

But it was obviously too late, he had strung you along way too far. Too many meetings in secret; he had change you inevitably. There was no going back. Even your own personality made a drastic turn, you were no longer the weak and timid person you used to be, and everyone noticed.

And Azuma Genkaku reveled in it. Because he knew, one day, he was going to break you. Own you. Destroy you. And you were never going to see it coming. Or perhaps you wouldn't care. Especially with the way you were acting now, moaning and writhing in pleasure underneath him -- bare as the day you were born.

His fingers carved scratches into your thighs and left trails of crimson in their wake and when he pulled you further against him, so he could harshly thrust into you, you knew there would be more bruises that would be formed onto your skin later. That's what he did, he loved marking you. Biting you, scratching you, abusing you. It didn't matter, just as long as it was causing you pain, it gave him pleasure. So, when your head tilted back and you spine arched off the futon on the floor, he chuckled against the juncture of your neck before he pulled at the skin with his teeth.

"Did you know you were making a deal with the devil that day?"

You answered in return with a loud moan and a wince as his pace picked up and his grip on your legs tightened.

Did you? Perhaps. You knew how horrible was, if that's what he was asking. You knew this game he was playing would somehow be your demise. But you also knew his touch was intoxicating and his lips tasted like freedom. Freedom that you so longed for. So, you didn't care to think about it right now. You wrapped one arm around his back and placed one hand on his neck before shakily pulling yourself up and kissing him with everything you had. Your teeth pulled on his bottom lip when you pulled away from the kiss and when he groaned you shivered in bliss, your hand at his back involuntarily moving and your nails scratching down his pale skin.

Your head once more tilted back in pleasure and your eyes stared blurrily at the ceiling above you. A million things were going through your mind at once, a million feelings through your body and heart at once. However, one feeling was more prevalent than all others, and you couldn't help but to voice it. It came tumbling passed trembling lips.

     "I l-love you, Azuma."

     "What?"

His voice dripped with disdain and disbelief and he stopped all movement. You stared up at him. He guesses he should have seen this coming, but he thought it would have came a lot later than what it did.

He disentangles from you and sits up before carding a hand through his disarrayed hair, sighs, and then laughs manically.

Your heart beats in overdrive and you pull the white sheet that was cast to the side earlier overtop of you as you sit up with him. You don't dare move, for the first time in a long time your fear is back.

After what feels like a long time, Azuma finally stops laughing and he stares at you with a gleam in his eye and a sadistic grin on his face. He doesn't say anything before he stands up and walks over to pick something up from the far side of the room, you don't see anything. It's not long before he turns around, nothing in his hand, but smirk still on his lips.

"You remember when we made that deal, little mouse? I do believe we are at our end. Don't you? Do you want your reward now?"

Your brows furrowed in confusion as you stared up at him from your place on the floor. You watched as he stalked your way, finally making it back to you and crawling over you. Only then, it was too late to scurry away.

The cat had caught the mouse. Or should we say the devil?

"You got in too deep with your stupid love shit, [Name]. But I'm letting you off easy. Death is salvation, ya know? You should be grateful!"

Your flight-or-fight response kicked in and you instantly threw the sheet at his face and ran for the door, but he was quick and grabbed your wrist in a tight grip, and not long after you felt an immense pain stab you through your side from behind. You whimpered in pain and your hand grasped your side, when your unstable eyesight tried to focus on the red crimson on your hand, it didn't take long after that.

Azuma's lips kissed your ear and then pressed against the shell of it as he whispered to you. All the while your consciousness drifted out.

"That's it little mouse, show me that fear that I've always loved so much. Death truly is beautiful."

His laughter was the last thing you heard before your inevitable demise.
