Poem: Her Voice _______________________________ pg.7

Her Voice

Raspy yet entertaining,

Without a hint of straining,

It blew the audience away,

The rhythmic beat started to play,

The silent strums of her guitar,

Her hand flew over the strings; on it, a tattoo of a star,

She sang her heart out,

The music, her voice, became really loud,

Then, she glanced at the crowd,

Tears glistened in her eyes and she bowed,

She couldn’t take it anymore,

Her voice started to soar,

On that very night,

Well, it is really hard to write,

What it was like,

It was nothing alike,

Ever recorded in history,

Even though it is still a mystery,

She sang the most beautiful song,

The crowd cried, it was loud and strong,

Earlier that day,

Some people say,

Her beloved mother died,

She couldn’t believe it, she hadn’t cried,

Instead she song her heart,

It was a work of art,

But she had too much pain,

And she never spoke, ever again.
