••Johnson's POV•

"I literally could've stayed at home."  I said to Gilinsky as I grabbed my water bottle. It was seven in the morning when I was awoken by an annoying Gilinsky saying he wanted to go to the gym to work out

"And do what? Think of Alex all day long?" He asked
"There's nothing bad with that." I defended
"Yes, yes there is." He said rolling his eyes at me

"Whatever." I mumbled
"On the other hand, I shouldn't have brought you here." He said looking behind me
"Yeah no shit." I said turning around to we Alex and Summer walking in

"Great." I said sarcastically. They walked to the other side of the gym so they didn't see us
"If you want we can leave." Gilinsky spoke up. I shook my head
"It's not like we hate each other." I said. He nodded

We went back to what we were doing but I couldn't take my eyes off Alex. They haven't noticed us yet which is awesome. I'm sure Summer noticed us though, because she kept looking over to this side.

"I'm gonna go to the restroom." I said to Gilinsky as I walked away. I went into the restroom and did my business before walking out
"Sorry." I mumbled as I crashed into someone

I looked up to see the beautiful chocolate eyes I love so much
"It's ok." She said looking away
"I-I didn't know you worked out." I stuttered out. She bit her lip and nodded

"Summer got me into it." She shrugged as she tried her hardest not to make eye contact with me
"Why won't you look at me?" I asked
"Why should I?" She asked

"Alex." I said cupping her cheeks
"Baby." I said running my thumb on her bottom lip
"W-What are you doing?" She asked
"Right now? Thinking if you would kiss me back." I replied

"Jack you can't just k-I cut her off by pinning her to the wall softly. A soft gasp escaped her lips as she finally made eye contact with me
"I can't just what?" I asked tilting my head to the side

"Kiss you?" I asked she gulped and nodded slowly
"Sorry." I mumbled looking down
"But yes I can." I said before colliding my lips with her soft ones

I ran my had through her tangled hair. Butterflies were going off in my stomach stronger than ever. And you know what's better? Is that she actually kissed me back. I wrapped my other arm around her waist and kept kissing her

As the kiss started to get heated she pulled away.
"Jack." She mumbled
"Whoa." I whispered resting my forehead on hers

We just stared into each others eyes.
"I love you Alex." I breathed out
"Jack, I love you too but we can't." She said shaking her head
"We can't what? You just said you love me what's stopping us from being together?" I asked

"Jack you have your career, I'm still in college w-I cut her off
"I don't have you, the one thing I truly need I don't have." I said caressing her cheek
"Jack." She sighed

"Please." I begged
"Jack I love you." She said cupping my cheeks
"But we can't, we can't be together." She said
"Why not?" I asked a little too harsh

"Alex, you're my everything. And not being with you is killing me can't you see that?" I asked
"And you think it's not killing me?" She scoffed
"Apparently not." I said sternly

"It is." She said hitting my chest
"Not being able to tell you how my day was or our phone calls that would go on till three in the morning and I would always fall asleep on you. I miss that I really do." She sighed

"But we just have two different life styles. We would just get hurt in the end." She mumbled
"So what? What if in the end we end up together? Wouldn't it be worth it then?" I asked
