"Finally back home." Gilinsky sighed, I nodded
"Where's my mom?" I asked looking around for her
"Jack!" My mom yelled bringing me into a bone crushing hug, Gilinsky chuckled from behind me
"Hey momma." I smiled kissing her cheek
"How long are you kids staying?" She asked hugging Gilinsky
"Nine months." Gilinsky smiled I nodded

"That's wonderful, and maybe you'll see Alex." She said to me. Alex...
"I doubt she'll want to see me." I frowned
"Don't be silly, she probably never saw you because you only stayed for days but now you're staying for months I'm sure you'll be able to talk to her." She assured I sighed and nodded
"Well let's go." Gilinsky said my mom nodded. We picked up our suitcases and walked out of the airport into my mom's car

"Oh mom, Sammy is gonna be coming tomorrow and staying here for a while is that ok?" I asked as I closed the trunk
"Of course honey." She smiled
"I'll text him." Gilinsky chuckled. I rolled my eyes and we all got inside the car and before we knew it we were right outside my old house
"Nothing's changed." I said getting out of the car
"Well expect the color." Gilinsky said I chuckled and nodded

"Come on kids." My mom said walking towards it. Me and Gilinsky got our suitcases and followed her. I looked to my left to see no one
Where's Alex and her family?
"You coming Jack?" Gilinsky asked me
"Yea." I nodded and walked into the house
"Ok so Jack you get your old room." My mom said to me I nodded
"And Jack, you get the one next to his." She added Gilinsky nodded

"Meanwhile I'll make some breakfast you kids must be starving." She said
"Yea we are." Me and Gilinsky said in sync she chuckled and shook her head
She smiled at us before walking into the kitchen
"You were looking for Alex huh?" Gilinsky asked as we walked upstairs
"No." I lied
"Don't lie." He said I sighed
"Ok yes I was." I mumbled
"You still have feelings for her huh?" He asked I looked at him

"I'm still in love with her." I looked down
"I told you that you were gonna regret not telling her how you really felt." He said
"I know...but we were gonna be so far away and I just didn't know if she was gonna be able to handle it." I said running my fingers through my hair
"Well cross your fingers and hope she still feels the same way." He said
"Mhmm." I mumbled picking up my suitcase and walking to my room

***2 Hours Later***

"Wait what did she say she wanted?" I asked Gilinsky as we walked in the grocery store
"Lemons, onions, tomatoes, and eggs do you ever listen to your mom?" He teased I rolled my eyes
"Yes but this time I didn't." I mumbled he chuckled
"I'll grab the onions, tomatoes, and onions and you go grab the eggs." He said I nodded. I walked towards the fridge section and grabbed a carton of eggs
"My mom said ham not bacon." I heard someone laugh

"Oh well sorry." A male voice said. I walked towards the voices call me nosey all you want but the girls voice sounds familiar
"Ok put it back and grab the ham." The girl giggled
"Hey, aren't you Jack Johnson?" The guy asked as I walked towards them
"Umm yea." I nodded and looked at the girl. Alex?
"I love your music bro." He said I smiled

"Thank you." I nodded
"We have to go." The girl mumbled
"Right before your mom gets mad." He chuckled
"Alex?" I asked her eyes went wide
It is her, and who's this guy?
"You know her?" The guy asked
"Yea." I nodded
"Really?" The guy asked and looked at her
"Umm maybe." She looked at him he sighed
"Can we go now?" She asked him

"Alex-fine." He nodded
"See you around." He said as she quickly walked away. He smiled at me before following her
"Hey man you got the eggs?" Gilinsky asked walking towards me I nodded
"Well let's go." He said I nodded
"What's wrong?" He asked
"I saw Alex....with another guy." I frowned
"I'm sorry man." He patted my shoulder
"It's my fault." I sighed and walked away from him
