Burn Me

Fire against my lips, the bittersweet taste was screaming my name; it wasn't going to last long as I watched it fade into ash right in front of me.

I'm not at all proud of you, you hurt me every time, I fight you off for months and then I have you laced in my fingers yet again. It's all so natural but all so wrong the way you burn me from the inside out.

Maybe I'm just a creature of habit or maybe all the negativity sends me into the same routine all over again. Maybe you're just another tear drop that leads to my sanity.
