Kaid is a non binary teen with a lot to discover. They live with their mother and sister in a small New York apartment.
A strange man makes inquiries about Kaid's father. Kaid realizes they have never actually seen their dad. Their mom never talks about him.
Kaid and their sister Jazz soon find out the true secret of the family. Both children are attacked by a hideous monster, and sent away to a new home.
At this new home Kaid and Jazz will learn the powers they both possess and how to use them.
