Later that night I texted Julie as soon as I got tucked in my bed.
"Hey! I'm home" I said with a smiley emoticon.
"Hey. I'll call you, okay?" I was surprised when Julie replied.
"Sure."
*riing!
"Japs!" I answered her call.
"So.." she said, as if waiting for a reply.
"Anong so ka jan? Bakit gising ka pa?" I asked.
"Saturday naman bukas eh." she said.
"Anyway, pumunta ka bukas ha!" she added.
"Huh? Where?"
"TechReh. Pasundo ba kita sa bahay o do'n nalang kita hintayin sa studio?"
"Ha? Ipaalam mo muna ako!"
"Sure. I'll call tomorrow morning, okay?"
"Oo sige, adik ka talaga"
"Well.." Julie laughed.
"Osya, goodnight, Ayababes! Haha"
"Goodnight Juliebabes!"
Then she hung up.
I spent few minutes flashing back what had happened earlier before I put myself to sleep.
"Ayaaaa!" mom yelled. That woke me up.
I looked at my phone, it's 10am -the usual time I wake up whenever I don't have class for the day.
"Coming!" I yelled back. Then I ran downstairs.
"Hi Aya" Elmo said.
OMFGASDHJKL Elmo is in our house this early and I'm such a mess!
"Hey" I combed my hair with my hand, wiped my face, consciously. Standing on the third step of the stairs.
"What are you doing here this early?" I asked.
"Haha. Julie asked me to come here and ask for your parents permission"
Mom and dad looked at me, raising eye brows.
"Oh? Sabi nya tatawag nalang daw sya"
"I don't know"
"Ma, pa.." I turned to my 'rents.
"Elmo already asked. Yes, you may." Dad smiled.
"Tara!" Elmo asked.
"Ha?" I went down, sat beside him on the couch.
"Aga naman." I added
"Happy Lemon nga muna, ayaw mo?"
"Wait, maligo lang ako, oka lang maghintay ka?"
"Sure."
I went back upstarirs to take a bath. Of course just in a flash.
"Wow. Ang bilis!" dad joked when I got downstairs.
"Tara" I told Moe.
"Alis na po kami" Moe said.
I gave my parents flying kisses.
"Dito na'ko sa harap" Elmo said after he opened the door for me.
"OK" I said.
"Good morning ma'am" his driver greeted.
"Good morning, kuya" I politely replied.
"Happy Lemon ba gusto mo? Breakfast nalang tayo, saan?"
"Ha? Kayo bahala. Si Julie?"
"Susunod sya"
"Oh, okay. I'll text her nalang?"
"No. I texted her na"
"Ah. Sige."
