Rejected Part 4

The next day, Friday, I was actually happy to wake up. Crazy, I know. 

I got up and put on Beyoncé while I got ready. For once, I felt good. Not only about myself but the entire day ahead. 

Remembering I had to find James's house tomorrow, I decided to walk past this morning on the way to school. To my surprise, James was walking out of his house! I kept my head down, so I didn't look like a stalker. Yet he managed to catch up to me and we walked to school together. 

The whole conversation was him talking about what he loves to do. Man, the way his eyes sparkled when he talked about the sports he played was magical. I guess you could say I was crushing pretty hard.

Yet, I feel guilty. It's almost like I still am committed to Bradly. I feel like James doesn't feel the same way about me, but I don't care. I seriously like this guy. 

When we got to school, I saw Nicole and Jamie standing in the lobby. I run to hug them, both of them. I honestly don't care at this point it has been 2 weeks since I've seen/heard from them. The reunion was heart warming. 

Nicole and I talked about Bradly and settled that. I turned to Jamie and asked where they've been. Her response was started with a tear "We planned on telling you sooner, but it was impossible...." Nicole took over and said in her soft warming voice "remember the pact we made as kids?" I nodded. "Well, I had ran away with Jamie and Bradly. I couldn't handle this anymore." Scared I urged her to go on, totally forgetting about James. Nicole continued "Ok, so basically we got to the border between here (Wisconsin) and Iowa before Bradly freaked and brought us back while Jamie and I were asleep." Jamie looked up "We won't be back in school for 2 months. We'll be in a hospital for the time being and try to get better" 

Shocked, I stepped back only to bump into James who gave me a hug and a kiss on the top of my head (OUT OF NOWHERE!!!!). He told me he had to meet with a teacher and would meet me after my first hour. I told him to go to Mr. World's room.

I watched him kind of dazed. Once he left. Jamie and Nicole stepped in front of me with the look your friends make when they find out your crush. I blushed and they both screamed and tackled me.
