After the incident in the meeting room, my father takes me out to lunch. We find a restaurant in the building and have a seat at a table for four. Sitting across from each other we pick up our menu. I attempt to find something I like, an Asian dish, biryani. I set it down and type my order on the side of the table and click enter. And as soon as I do, I can hear a small ring in the kitchen area.

I look back at my father who is also typing, and then another ring. He starts to speak, which I know is gonna be about the meeting, but something stops him.

"dad, what's wrong?" I ask him but he doesn't reply.
I look around to find Trez waking down the stairs heading to this restaurant! I gulp. I look back at my dad and we both get up trying to leave. But as soon as I turn around he stands there with his haunting smirk. He's so close that I can smell his colon, a warm vanilla scent.

" where are we heading?" He asks. My dad steps in.

"We were just heading home. " he says.  Trez looks down at the table where our orders are typed in.

"Now, let's not lie. Why don't we have a seat?" He gestures his hands to the chairs. My dad resists but sits back down. I sit down after him and then Trez. His guard who appears out of nowhere, guessing he's been watching us, comes and stands behind him. He types in his order and I seem to notice. Biryani. He looks at us.

"don't you just love the Indian culture?" He smiles.  After the light ring, it becomes silent. We do nothing, nor say a word. Trez says nothing either. And in five minutes I can smell the food. It's been already prepared and the machinery sets it down on our table. And in its smooth motion, the machine retreats.

Trez digs in the biryani. Me and my dad look at each other and then grab our forks.

"so, what's your view on Mist's?" Trez asks still looking at his food. But when I don't reply he looks back at me with the same haunting anger look. Worse then before. I have to speak now. " well, I think they're innocent." I look down. Trying not to make eye contact. " Explain." He says placing his fork down. The situation gets serious and more tense.
My father steps in again. " I think it's time to go." He gets up and as soon as he does Trez says sit aggressively putting his hand on the table. The guard behind Trez points the gun in his hand towards dad. My heart almost stops. Dad sits back down and Trez looks back at me again.
"Explain." He says.  I finally speak. " I think it's not their fault, they didn't want to be this way. Killing them before even trying to help them is wrong. As wrong as what your doing right now."
He looks at me with pleasure for some reason, I thought this was the part where he would get mad and kill me or something. " You know, nobody in this whole universe has ever objected my stand, but you. I applaud your bravery." He comments and I nod to his approval.
" what's your name?" He asks. " Catherine.".  " well Catherine, I'd like to give you the life time opportunity to travel back to the capita. I'll give you a day to decide". He smiles once more and leaves.

••••••••••

I open the door to my bedroom and go straight into the arms of my bed. I don't know what to do. Those words rolled inside my brain again and again. My mom and dad walked in, and I quickly sat up.

"hey" that's all I could say.

" Catherine, can we talk?"  They asked and I nodded.

As hey sat down my dad started to talk." I think you should go, and please don't take this in the wrong way. If you don't go, you'll be rejecting Trez, and that might cause problems for all of us." I can't believe he actually wants me to leave. He wants me to leave with the most heartless person in the world, forever?

Anger built inside me. " You want me to leave? You want me to go with him?!" I yelled.

My mom reached for my hand. " No stop! You want me gone. I'm a problem for you aren't I?"
