Hehe thank you guys for all the votes & comments! :) If any of you are reading my other book then you are probably wondering why it is taking me so long to update. That book I have to put more thought into since I haven't fully planned it out, this one has been planned. This chapter is unedited. xxBeatrice

|||~Chapter Four~|||

Well, it's been nearly a week now, and I have in fact gotten my cat, Harmony. She's pretty sweet and I enjoy the company, although I normally have Capri or Ally toppling over my door.

But I've got more things to focus on than this, the Rabid wolves grow closer each day, and the barrier will hold them back until the figure out how to climb it, which they are in their weakest stage at the moment so it's going to be hard.

I slowly scurried out of my room, leaving Harmony meowing over and over again. I made my way down the stairs, nearly tripping as I ran straight into Daren.

"Oh hey." I murmured slightly, scratching the back of my head.

"What's up?" He questioned.

"Teen Pregnancy Rates, dear." I rolled my eyes, pushing him back with a playful shove as I walked outside. He chased after me, his pace very quick.

"Woah woah woah, don't think you are getting away with that." He smirked, pulling his hand up to squirt whipped cream right into my face. I laughed, licking my mouth happily as I wiped the rest off, eating it.

"Yum." I said cheerfully as I skipped along a dirt path.

"That was supposed to be gross!" He stomped his foot, like a toddler would when they did not get their way.

"Oh but it wasn't." I added, picking up a pine cone to through at him. You are probably wondering why we are getting along so well now, well over the week we just sort of hung around each other more.

"Getting along" Yeah, okay.

I started to run as his face turned read with anger, he clenched his fists and bounded after me. I leapt into a tree, clinging to a branch quietly as he passed by, turning around after minutes to see me dangling from an oak tree.

"Look who's a monkey now." Daren laughed, or cackled; more like cackled.

I removed myself from the tree, brushing off. "I am clearly not a monkey, I am a jaguar."

"Jaguars cling to trees?" He asked, tapping his chin.

"No, but I've seen a lot of pictures of them IN trees." I noted and began walking again, this time at a slower speed.

"Alrighty then." Daren added, laughing gently. "Up for lunch?" He then questioned.

"Who isn't?" I flicked him, only to be pulled straight onto his shoulders, dangling, "Hey I do not have a nice view!" I screamed.

"At least you aren't a pervert." He chuckled setting me down at a table, I squinted at him before letting out a long sigh.

"It's been awhile since we've had that much fun." I said just as one of my waiters came up, technically these were just one of the middle ranked wolves from my pack. After he left, Daren answered my comment.

"That is true, but I have a question for you, dear." He pointed to me playfully, and my eyes widened causing me to shrug, "I'll take that as an okay, so here is my lovely question, are we still acquaintances or friends?"

"Hmm... Friends." I smiled lightly, tapping my finger on the table just as our food arrived, which to my 'surprise' Daren had ordered a steak. I simply ordered a salad, which made him laugh for some unknown reason which he chose not to say.
