~Emma's pov~

I flicker my eyes, a dark blue sky making its way into sight. I can hear birds chirping and the whistle of the wind as it blows against the long feather-like grass.

Where am I? I lift myself up off the ground to get a better view of my surroundings. In front of me is a large grassy field. The clouds are a dark shade of blue, almost matching the sky. The sun is going to set soon revealing its orangey-yellow colors.

There is a white faded full moon, high in the sky. I am so mesmerized by this magnificent place, it is beyond beautiful. I hear my name being called in a quiet whisper. Huh? I turn around but see nothing.

"Emma." Another whisper enters through my ears.

I follow the sounds of my name being chanted louder and louder till I come to the source.

A man is standing looking out at the horizon. I walk up to him, starring at the mixing tint of orange and yellow reflection from the sun shining onto the side of his face. He looks familiar but I couldn't seem to remember from where?

He looks my way, his no longer stern eyes bore into mine. Now they are soft and soulful dark blue ones that seem welcoming. His stiff appearance used to intimidate me, now he seems calm and relaxed.

"Hi honey." He says with a half-smile.

"Hey old man, how are they treating you up here?" That makes him laugh a little.

"Good, but it's not your turn yet."

"I love you dad." I say as happy tears fall from my eyes.

"I love you too sweetheart." He says, wiping a tear from my face before everything goes black.

My body jerks up into a sitting position, sweat trickling down my neck.

Was that a nightmare or a dream? What is going on?

I look around to see nothing but darkness. I slowly push the covers off of me before taking slow and steady steps towards the door. I'm almost at the door; I stop when I hear a quiet sob coming from my right. Looking at the corner of the room I see a small figure on the floor with her head on her knees and arms wrapping around her legs.

"Mom?" I say softly.

She doesn't move, maybe she doesn't hear me.

"Mom?" I say a little bit louder.

She takes her head off her knees, her eyes meeting mine. She cries harder as she yells. "Why.....why is my mind playing tricks on me? Losing two people was enough. Leave me alone!" She yells before sobbing into her hands. What is she talking about? She only lost one person? Wait unless something happened to Derek or Anna.

Oh no!

"Mom who else is gone?" I question, concern laced in my voice.

"You're gone and you're never coming back!" She yells while sobbing some more.

She pushes herself up from the floor, grabbing her belongings and walking towards the door. She gives one last glance before walking out of the door.

I stand here lost in my own thoughts. What does she mean she lost two people? What is she talking about...I was never coming back? I shake my head; no she can't mean that could she?

I start walking towards the door careful not to trip over anything in the pitch black room. Grabbing the doorknob, I twist it to the right and open the door. I walk down the dark hallway to see no one. Where is everyone? Turning the corner I look at the clock on the wall, 3:15 am it read. I keep walking until I find a long blond haired woman sitting behind the counter. She must be the secretary.
