Katherine POV

As the sun shine, I felt my heart soak in an unbearable pain, I closed my eyes remembering the first time I saw her, her cute smile, her beautiful eyes, her red lips, the way she looked at me and my heart aches more than before, my eyes burn with unshed tears. Someone knocks on my door.

"Hi Kate" someone says and I just nod
"How are you?"
"Say something please"
"Come on Kate" Alex shakes me, making me frown
"Can you leave me alone, I am not in the mood to talk"
"You can't stay all day like this" he holds my hand, I just ignore him
"Here" He shoves something in my face
"What the hell man, you are pissing me off"I punch his arm away
"It's blood"
"You know I am not blind"
"You need to drink it"
"I don't want to drink anything, now leave" I point to the door
"You need to drink it, starving yourself to death won't bring her back"
"Well I hope I could die and end this suffering"
"You can't be serious" he frowned
"Just leave me alone"
"Come on Kate, don't be such a Romeo" I looked at him and laughed without humor
"You're scaring me with this suicidal attitude"
"Without her it's not worth living" I said quietly as blood dripped down my eyes, with every drop drowning me in pain, for the first time in my life I cried. Alex held me in his arms whispering comforting words in my ears which made me cry more. We stayed like that till dusk when I calmed down a little
"Are you okay?" He asked
" What kind of question is that"
"Sorry, it was stupid of me to ask when I know the answer, anyway do you want to go hunting?"
"No" I simple answered
"Here" he said, I opened my eyes and saw the blood he brought here early
"I don't want it"
"Kate you need to stay strong, we could go to war when the wolfs find out their alpha died here"
"They already know and are probably in their way here"
"How so?"
"You are dumb sometimes, you know they share a bond"
"Oh right, so you need to be strong and lead us in this war"
"No, I already told you that I will renounce my title"
He gasped "Are you insane, they will fight to become kings and queens and we all know that nobody is able to handle to much power, most vampires are blood thirst and greed"
"There's nothing I can do about it"
"Are you giving up, just like that?"
"I guess, why are you asking me the same question?"
"Just to make sure, what about me, Lucielle?"
"I thought you hated her" I Raised my eyebrow at him
"I still hate her but if it's the only way to keep you fighting I am willing to accept her" I was speechless after hearing him say that
"So, will you please drink it for her?" He asked hopeful
"I am tired right now" I changed the subject
"Sorry, I will leave you alone. Think about it" he stood up walking away, he stopped in the door
"Get ready the funeral is in about an hour" He looked at me sadly and I nodded

I close my eyes and it feels like forever, I try not to think about the pain I feel inside

"Kate it's time" I hear Lucielle's voice behind the door, I stand up and walk to the door, everyone was outside, I stood there motionless as the funeral begin, all of a sundle I heard a commotion in the entrance as the ground shock. Everyone was hissing I looked up and gasped. In front of me stood huge wolfs, they started to growl. A girl jumped off a wolfs back
"Give us your queen and there won't be a war" she shouted
"It's better if we do what she says we can't sacrifice our entire race because of her decisions" Lenin said some nodded in agreement
"You gotta be kidding me, you can't turn your back at our queen" Alex said
"She's the one who brought a wolf into our castle, it's all her fault" Lenin said smirking, making me want to wipe that smirk of his face
"We are not going to give our queen to you" Alex looked at me blocking me from their view
"One last chance give us what we want and we will leave" the girl said as some vampires stood in a fighting trance in front of me
"So you already made your decision" she growled changing into a wolf, she charged at me as the fight started
